A promotion reflecting Dreamscape Hospitality’s continued development

Dreamscape Hospitality has announced the promotion of Adam Patenaude to President & Chief Executive Officer. Previously serving as President, Patenaude now formally assumes broader executive responsibilities after overseeing the company’s launch and initial years of operation.

The promotion comes just days after the appointment of a new Vice President of Sales and Marketing, another change within the leadership team intended to support the growth of the portfolio.

Eric Birnbaum, Chairman of Dreamscape Companies, highlighted the role played by Adam Patenaude in building the hotel management platform:

“Adam’s leadership has been instrumental to the success of Dreamscape Hospitality over its first two and a half years. Under his leadership, the company has grown at a pace that would be remarkable in any market, but what sets it apart is that this growth has been built on strong relationships with our owners and partners.”

According to the group, the promotion is intended to consolidate the achievements of its initial operating years while preparing for a new phase of development in the US market.

More than 40 hotels across 13 brands

By the end of its second full year of hotel operations under Adam Patenaude’s leadership, Dreamscape Hospitality expects its portfolio to comprise more than 40 properties.

The portfolio spans 13 major brands, including Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and IHG, alongside several independent and boutique hotels.

This diversity reflects Dreamscape Hospitality’s multi-brand positioning, with a business model based on the operational management of hotels on behalf of owners and real estate partners.

The company reports improvements across several key performance indicators, although it has not disclosed specific figures for RevPAR, operating margins or the portfolio’s financial results.

Dreamscape also reports a pipeline of new properties intended to extend its national presence into additional US markets. The number of projects, their locations and their anticipated integration schedules have not been specified.

An owner-focused hotel management model

Dreamscape Hospitality’s development is based in part on a management philosophy championed by Adam Patenaude: prioritising owners’ interests and structuring the organisation to support the performance of the assets under management.

Patenaude emphasises the importance of developing human resources, systems and corporate culture in step with the growth of the hotel portfolio.

“Our growth is about more than numbers. It is about building an organisation with the people, systems and culture needed to consistently deliver exceptional results for our ownership partners.”

With this objective in mind, the company continues to recruit experienced professionals to strengthen its corporate functions and support property-level operational teams.

Dreamscape Hospitality is supported by its corporate support centre in McKinney, Texas, completed in 2025, which now serves as the principal base for its leadership and operations teams.

This infrastructure supports the development of a management model in which central functions provide hotels with the expertise and resources required for their operations.

More than 20 years of experience, including 15 at Aimbridge Hospitality

Before joining Dreamscape Hospitality in May 2024, Adam Patenaude spent most of his career within two major US hotel management organisations.

He began his career at Hilton, where his responsibilities included serving as Assistant General Manager between 2003 and 2009.

In January 2009, he joined Aimbridge Hospitality, one of the leading third-party hotel operators in the United States. He remained with the company for more than 15 years, successively holding positions as General Manager, Area General Manager, Regional Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations.

He concluded his career at Aimbridge as Senior Vice President of Operations within its Full-Service division, with responsibilities covering hotel operational oversight and performance.

His experience in multi-brand hotel management and owner representation is a central element of his professional background, in an industry where operators must balance brand requirements, investors’ financial objectives and team performance.

A graduate of Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, Adam Patenaude also completed Harvard University’s Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles programme.

A new phase for the US hotel management platform

Adam Patenaude’s promotion comes as Dreamscape Hospitality prepares to pursue further development beyond its existing portfolio.

With more than 40 hotels anticipated, relationships with several major international hotel brands and a pipeline designed to open up new markets, the company continues to build its national hotel management platform.

For hotel owners, one of the principal considerations is an operator’s ability to maintain operational performance as the number of properties under management increases.

Dreamscape Hospitality says it intends to address this requirement by strengthening its central teams, investing in operational resources and consolidating relationships with ownership partners.

The promotion of its President to CEO therefore formalises a new stage in the company’s organisational development, following two and a half years of growth under his leadership.
