IHG Hotels & Resorts has published a study with research institute Talker Research, surveying 1,000 Americans on the "skillcation" — a stay designed to leave guests with a new skill rather than just a souvenir. According to results unveiled on 12 August 2026 in Atlanta, 47% of respondents say they are interested in this form of travel, and 68% consider it potentially life-changing. The hotel group is using the findings to spotlight the more than 100 learning experiences on offer across its portfolio of brands on six continents.
