The Treudelberg Resort Hamburg is opening a new chapter with the arrival of Carl Artmann as General Manager, effective 1 August 2026. His extensive national and international hospitality experience brings not only deep expertise, but above all a genuine passion for hosting, human connection and distinctive hospitality experiences.

Over the coming months, Carl Artmann will work closely with his predecessor, Rolf Haug, to ensure continuity in the Treudelberg Resort Hamburg’s successful development and to shape, alongside the team, the property’s next steps. Today, Treudelberg is far more than a classic hotel — it is a genuine wellness-focused resort complex, combining golf, sport, padel, longevity, wellness, dining, as well as seminars, conferences and distinctive events to offer a comprehensive resort experience, set in nature yet just around twenty minutes from central Hamburg.

Carl Artmann had held the position of Area Manager Hamburg for ARCOTEL Hotels & Resorts GmbH since September 2022. He had previously worked as an independent hospitality and real estate consultant, then served as Chief Operating Officer of Clipper Hotels & Boardinghouses, a subsidiary of the B&L group, before leading the Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall as General Manager.

His career within the Accor group and its premium Sofitel brand spans more than a decade, including six years as General Manager of the Sofitel Wroclaw, in Poland, preceded by a role as General Manager at the Sofitel Shanghai Hyland, in China, where he had previously served as Resident Manager and then Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. He began his career as Front of House Manager at the Swissôtel Berlin. Carl Artmann holds a state-certified hotel management qualification from WIHOGA Dortmund, as well as an IHK certification in property management, and completed a professional development programme in F&B management at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.

USA | Access Point Financial and TMGOC Ventures inject €103m into New Orleans Fairmont/Element duo

Access Point Financial and TMGOC Ventures have co-financed the recapitalisation of the dual-branded Fairmont by Accor and Element by Westin complex in New Orleans to the tune of $120 million (approximately €103 million), via a bridge loan and a preferred equity investment. The scheme, led by local developer Kailas Companies, is the result of converting a former 31-storey office tower in the central business district. The Element opened in February 2026, while the Fairmont is due to follow in autumn 2026.
