The Treudelberg Resort Hamburg is opening a new chapter with the arrival of Carl Artmann as General Manager, effective 1 August 2026. His extensive national and international hospitality experience brings not only deep expertise, but above all a genuine passion for hosting, human connection and distinctive hospitality experiences.
Over the coming months, Carl Artmann will work closely with his predecessor, Rolf Haug, to ensure continuity in the Treudelberg Resort Hamburg’s successful development and to shape, alongside the team, the property’s next steps. Today, Treudelberg is far more than a classic hotel — it is a genuine wellness-focused resort complex, combining golf, sport, padel, longevity, wellness, dining, as well as seminars, conferences and distinctive events to offer a comprehensive resort experience, set in nature yet just around twenty minutes from central Hamburg.
Carl Artmann had held the position of Area Manager Hamburg for ARCOTEL Hotels & Resorts GmbH since September 2022. He had previously worked as an independent hospitality and real estate consultant, then served as Chief Operating Officer of Clipper Hotels & Boardinghouses, a subsidiary of the B&L group, before leading the Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall as General Manager.
His career within the Accor group and its premium Sofitel brand spans more than a decade, including six years as General Manager of the Sofitel Wroclaw, in Poland, preceded by a role as General Manager at the Sofitel Shanghai Hyland, in China, where he had previously served as Resident Manager and then Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. He began his career as Front of House Manager at the Swissôtel Berlin. Carl Artmann holds a state-certified hotel management qualification from WIHOGA Dortmund, as well as an IHK certification in property management, and completed a professional development programme in F&B management at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.
