Constant Wormser joins Hilton to oversee a new opening in Langkawi

Constant Wormser has announced his appointment in October 2026 as Opening General Manager of The Nautilus Langkawi, a forthcoming property affiliated with Curio Collection by Hilton.

Located on the island of Langkawi, in the Malaysian state of Kedah, the hotel will join Hilton’s collection of independently distinctive properties.

In his announcement on LinkedIn, Constant Wormser confirmed his move to a new country and indicated that his priority would be to build the team and prepare the property for opening.

The appointment also marks his arrival at Hilton, following a career largely dedicated to hotel operations, food and beverage management and pre-openings across several Asian destinations.

The opening date, accommodation capacity and detailed specifications of The Nautilus Langkawi have not been disclosed in the information released.

Five years with The Standard, from food and beverage to resort management

Before joining Hilton, Constant Wormser served as Resort Manager at The Standard Hua Hin, a position he had held since May 2025.

He originally joined the property in October 2021 as Food & Beverage Director and Head of Culinary, as part of its opening team.

In June 2022, he was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager, assuming responsibility for overseeing the hotel’s overall operations.

Between September 2022 and April 2023, he also served as Acting General Manager, before continuing his operational responsibilities until his promotion to Resort Manager.

This progression reflects a gradual broadening of responsibilities, from food and beverage leadership to the overall management of the property.

Alongside these duties, Constant Wormser undertook a temporary assignment as Task Force General Manager at The Standard Maldives between February and April 2025.

This experience gave him exposure to another island environment, with operational challenges specific to resort hospitality.

His time with The Standard therefore represents an important stage in his progression towards general management.

Hyatt and Hotel Indigo: expertise developed in food and beverage operations

Before joining The Standard, Constant Wormser held several management positions at international hotels in Bangkok.

Between June 2018 and July 2020, he served as Food & Beverage Manager at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, contributing to both its pre-opening and operational phases.

He also managed Spectrum Lounge & Bar between January and July 2020.

Previously, from November 2016 to June 2018, he was Food & Beverage Manager at Hotel Indigo in Bangkok.

His responsibilities covered all food and beverage activities, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, room service and culinary operations.

They also included budgeting, business forecasting, cost control, recruitment and team training.

Between July 2015 and November 2016, he held the position of Group Food and Beverage Director at Evolution Capital Public Company Limited, with responsibility for eight food and beverage outlets.

This experience enabled him to develop expertise in multi-site management, cost control and operational performance.

An international career shaped by hotel pre-openings

Preparing new hospitality operations has been a recurring theme throughout Constant Wormser’s career.

Between November 2012 and July 2015, he worked for Epikurean Hotels & Lifestyle as Development Executive and Pre-opening Manager, based in Bangkok.

During this period, he contributed to several hotel projects across Asia, notably in Thailand, Vietnam and Nepal, working on operational standards, recruitment, training and property launches.

Earlier in his career, he supported the pre-opening of The Au Co, a cruise operation in Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay, for Bhaya Cruises.

This assignment included structuring teams, defining operating procedures, implementing reservation and revenue management systems, and coordinating suppliers.

His early professional experience in the region also included positions with Victoria Hotels & Resorts in Sapa and the Press Club in Hanoi.

Having studied hotel and restaurant management at École hôtelière de Lausanne in 2009–2010, Constant Wormser also worked in Switzerland and Ireland during the early stages of his career.

A new chapter in the development of Curio Collection by Hilton

With The Nautilus Langkawi, Constant Wormser returns to a hotel pre-opening assignment, this time in his first officially announced General Manager role with Hilton.

Curio Collection by Hilton brings together hotels that retain their individual identities while benefiting from the group’s commercial and distribution ecosystem.

For the forthcoming Langkawi property, the pre-opening phase will involve building the team, organising operations and preparing the commercial launch.

Constant Wormser’s background brings together two complementary areas of expertise: extensive food and beverage management experience, alongside broader operational leadership responsibilities and several hotel opening assignments.

His appointment represents another stage in a career developed primarily in Southeast Asia, with particular experience in resort operations and island destinations.
