A destination hotel at the gates of the parks
Crowne Plaza by IHG Hotels & Resorts officially opened Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée on 24 September 2026, presenting it as a new destination hotel for the brand in France. The property covers 2.5 hectares of landscaped parkland in Magny-le-Hongre, in the heart of Marne-la-Vallée, around 40 minutes from central Paris.
The opening completes a project whose signing IHG announced in September 2025, in partnership with Danish group Proark, with opening scheduled for the second half of 2026 following the full conversion of the existing site. The announced timetable has therefore been met.
The hotel lies a few minutes from the region’s theme parks and from La Vallée Village, one of Europe’s leading luxury outlet shopping destinations. A free shuttle links the property to Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy station and the parks in around seven to nine minutes.
250 rooms overlooking the golf course
The property has 250 rooms and suites, most of which look out over Golf Paris Val d’Europe and its three nine-hole courses. The spaces have been designed to combine work and relaxation, in line with the “blended travel” approach the brand has championed since its repositioning.
The renovation incorporated a number of sustainability choices, including recycled materials in the headboards and carpets, as well as technologies intended to reduce the building’s environmental footprint. The flexible public areas have been designed to encourage social interaction and wellbeing.
Three food and beverage venues
The F&B offer is built around three venues. La Clairière serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. L’Orangerie, which opens onto the terrace and gardens and is bathed in natural light, hosts breakfast and private events.
The Mystic Bar serves as an all-day social hub: healthy options in the morning, light bites at lunchtime, then after-work drinks and signature cocktails in the evening.
Wellness and leisure, rolled out in stages
The wellness offer comprises a heated indoor pool, a spa, an indoor gym and a dedicated yoga and Pilates space. Guests also have access to walking trails, bike hire and children’s play areas.
By the end of the year, the offer will be complemented by padel courts, an outdoor gym, a pétanque pitch and film screenings. The outdoor pool and its bar are due to open in spring 2027. The site also has a car park and electric vehicle charging points.
Francelina Ferreira do Amaral, the hotel’s General Manager, said the aim at Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée had been to create far more than a place to stay: a destination offering a genuine sense of escape, where guests could enjoy everything the region has to offer while finding the space to slow down, reconnect and recharge. Inspired by the natural surroundings, every detail had been designed so that work, leisure and shared moments flow naturally into one another, she explained, adding that the ambition was simple – to create a place where balance comes naturally.
A clear MICE positioning
Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée is also targeting the meetings and events market. It offers 1,500 sqm of flexible space across 14 meeting rooms, with a maximum capacity of 400 delegates. Conferences, residential seminars, celebrations and private events are the main segments targeted.
This positioning comes as the area is undergoing significant development. Val d’Europe is planning 1,800 additional hotel rooms by 2040, on top of existing stock that already exceeds 12,000 rooms. Competition for leisure and business guests in the east of the Paris region is therefore set to intensify.
Crowne Plaza strengthens its European network
With this opening, Crowne Plaza now has 96 hotels and more than 20,400 rooms in operation in Europe. Its regional pipeline includes a further 21 properties, representing more than 4,300 rooms.
Analysis – The Marne-la-Vallée opening underlines Crowne Plaza’s global estate renewal strategy, recently illustrated by the opening of its Americas flagship in Times Square. It takes the brand beyond its traditional territory of business districts and airport locations and into a leisure resort setting, a segment IHG is also pursuing through its other premium brands.
