Rhodium, a real estate consultancy and management firm specialising in ultra-luxury residential and mixed-use developments, has announced the appointment of Diane Daudin Clavaud as Chief Development & Strategy Officer. Based in London, she joins the group as of June 2026 and will be responsible for steering the company’s development and growth strategy, identifying new opportunities and bringing together luxury brands, developers and investors around branded residential and mixed-use projects.
In its statement, Rhodium notes that Diane Daudin Clavaud joins the group with more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, branded residences, real estate and investment, most of it gained at Nobu Hospitality, where she held the position of Corporate Director of Global Business Development. The group highlights her international experience, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as her ability to build strategic partnerships between brands, developers and investors — an asset it considers key to supporting Rhodium’s international growth.
A career built at Nobu Hospitality and across international luxury hospitality
Diane Daudin Clavaud spent more than eight years at Nobu Hospitality, the lifestyle brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper. Since March 2023, she had held the role of Corporate Director of Global Business Development there, supporting the group’s CEO and COO across an international portfolio of more than 40 hotels, 50 restaurants and 10 residences. Nobu Hospitality recently illustrated this momentum with the joint launch of a hotel and residences in the Maldives, confirming the group’s growing presence in the upscale lifestyle residential segment.
Before that role, she was Business Development Associate EMEA from 2022 to 2023, and prior to that served as the brand’s representative for Nobu Hotel project development in Europe, particularly in Portugal, from 2018 to 2022, based in Lisbon. Between 2014 and 2018, she led the group’s communications and marketing from the Middle East, overseeing brand and guest-experience development for the opening of the Nobu Hotel Riyadh.
The earlier part of her hospitality career was built at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia, where she led communications for several five-star properties in Riyadh between 2010 and 2013, before moving into strategic consulting, event management and art gallery management in the region. A graduate of the Lisbon MBA — a joint programme run by Católica, Nova and MIT Sloan School of Management, which she completed between 2018 and 2020 — she has also served as Secretary General of French Tech Lisbon since 2019.
Rhodium, a growing platform in the branded residences segment
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in London, Rhodium has established itself as a consultancy and management firm for ultra-luxury residential and mixed-use developments. The branded residences segment in which Rhodium operates commands an average valuation premium of around 30% over comparable unbranded properties, a model increasingly attracting developers and institutional investors worldwide.
The group now reports a portfolio of 40 new-build developments across London, Dubai and Athens, representing approximately €14 billion (£12 billion) in real estate consultancy and management services. Rhodium has also formed exclusive partnerships with luxury brands such as Bugatti and Lalique to develop residential and mixed-use projects around the world, and states that further brand agreements will be announced shortly.
A new role framed as a driver of international growth
Following the announcement of her appointment, Diane Daudin Clavaud said on LinkedIn: “I am delighted to join Rhodium and to contribute to its next phase of international growth. My career has always been about building bridges between vision, capital, real estate, hospitality and luxury brands, turning opportunities into strategic partnerships and landmark developments. Rhodium has built a unique platform at the crossroads of luxury, lifestyle and branded residential real estate, and I look forward to working with our partners around the world to bring new opportunities to life.”
According to information available on her professional profile, Diane Daudin Clavaud has also held the position of Chief Development Officer at Grupo Dani García, the restaurant group founded by the Spanish chef of the same name, since June 2026. Her appointment at Rhodium therefore forms part of a broader career shift towards strategic development, at the intersection of hospitality, gastronomy and luxury real estate.
