When it was acquired in 2022, through a hotel SME and alongside Mont-Blanc Collection, the property was operating as Hôtel Les Gourmets and had 37 rooms and suites. The Chamonix-based group led by Martin Devictor was relying at the time on its long-standing partner, as LTH noted in its profile of Mont-Blanc Collection.

The hotel enjoys a prime location in the very centre of Chamonix, close to the resort’s main attractions and transport infrastructure. This locational advantage formed the cornerstone of the investment thesis.

A repositioning launched after a few months of operation

After a short period of operating the hotel as it stood, EXTENDAM and Mont-Blanc Collection launched a programme to completely rethink the guest experience while preserving the property’s local roots. The hotel reopened in December 2024 under its new identity, Hôtel Le Lyret.

The project stood out for its artistic approach: six international female artists were invited to create permanent works inspired by Chamonix and its natural surroundings. This direction positions Le Lyret as an art hotel with a distinctive identity that resonates with its location.

Beyond the renovation of its spaces, the transformation included a complete overhaul of the hotel’s identity, with the aim of strengthening its appeal to French and international guests in every season. In addition to its 37 rooms, the hotel now offers a bar, a wellness area with sauna and hammam, a massage room, an outdoor pool heated in season, a garden with views of Mont Blanc, a ski room and meeting spaces.

An exit at a multiple in line with expectations

The sale completes an investment cycle that has transformed a long-established hotel in central Chamonix into a fully repositioned address within its market. Neither the identity of the buyer nor the transaction price has been disclosed.

Bertrand Pullès, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of EXTENDAM, said the sale concludes another transformation project carried out alongside Mont-Blanc Collection, a partner with which the firm shares an in-depth knowledge of mountain hospitality. He added that EXTENDAM is particularly pleased with the repositioning achieved and with being able to sell the asset at a multiple in line with its expectations.

Chamonix, a market driven by year-round demand

The destination has a particularly well-balanced demand profile. In 2025, the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley recorded more than 8.6 million overnight stays, of which 4.5 million were in the summer season (52.3% of the total) and 4.1 million in the winter season (47.7%).

International visitors account for 50.4% of tourists in summer and 56.9% in winter. This international dimension is a key driver for the local hotel market and reinforces Chamonix’s position as a four-season mountain destination that attracts numerous investors, as illustrated by Fontenille Collection with Hôtel Richemond.

A value-creation strategy based on active asset rotation

A private equity specialist dedicated to midscale and upscale hotels in Europe, EXTENDAM reported, as at 30 June 2026, 260 transactions, 400 hotels, 32,500 rooms and €5.6 billion in gross asset value.

The sale comes as the management company continues to invest, notably with the acquisition of the ibis Paris Père Lachaise alongside KER Hospitality and the launch of the FPCI Hotels Premium II fund, dedicated to premium European hospitality.
