Four Seasons is partnering with Royal Resort Cap Malabata, a luxury project development company backed by GFH, to develop Four Seasons Resort Tangier. The resort will be located at Cap Malabata, one of Tangier’s most sought-after districts, on Morocco’s northern coast.
A site facing the Strait of Gibraltar
The project occupies a rare location where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. Overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, it offers direct views of the Spanish coastline. The resort will have more than 260 metres of waterfront.
The site is around 15 minutes from Tangier’s high-speed rail station and 45 minutes from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport. It is also close to the city centre, its souks and its coastline.
99 keys, including 27 villas
The architecture is by Arjitec, with interior design by Goddard Littlefair. The resort will comprise 99 rooms and suites, including 27 standalone villas, designed to showcase the natural and cultural heritage of northern Morocco.
Facilities will include extensive pool and relaxation areas along the waterfront, four restaurants combining local and international cuisine, a full-service spa and a fitness centre. The Kids For All Seasons programme will also be offered. Flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, all with waterfront views, will host meetings, celebrations and events.
A partnership with Royal Resort Cap Malabata
The partners present this integrated project as an asset that combines quality of execution with long-term investment value. It is intended to strengthen Tangier’s upscale hotel offering and support the city’s rise as a regional and international destination.
Abdulwahed Al Kooheji, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Resort Cap Malabata, said the company was delighted to partner with Four Seasons on the development of Four Seasons Resort Tangier. He cited Tangier’s strategic location, rich cultural heritage and exceptional waterfront as making it an ideal destination for this landmark project, adding that, together with Four Seasons, the developer intends to create a world-class resort that will enrich the city’s luxury hotel offering and support its continued growth as a leading destination in the region.
The fourth Four Seasons in Morocco
The future resort will join Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca, Four Seasons Resort Marrakech and Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr.

Ricardo Suarez, Group Head, Development at Four Seasons, noted that Four Seasons Resort Tangier, the group’s fourth property in Morocco, expands its collection in one of the most attractive destinations in the region. He said Four Seasons looks forward to bringing this exceptional project to life and to creating a resort that reflects Tangier’s character, while allowing guests to discover its unique coastal setting with the service excellence that defines Four Seasons.
Analysis – This project takes the brand to Morocco’s Mediterranean coast for the first time, away from the Casablanca–Rabat–Marrakech axis. The Moroccan luxury segment is attracting other major players, such as Ennismore and YAMED, which are preparing Delano Hotel & Residences in Marrakech, and Marriott with Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort, now open on the Atlantic coast. In Casablanca, Hilton’s LXR brand has just appointed the general manager of Casa Alba.
