Le Westin Montréal will welcome a new General Manager on 13 October 2026: Jacques Lapierre, who has served as General Manager of Delta Hotels by Marriott Montréal since March 2026, will take charge of this Art Deco city-centre property, connected to the Palais des congrès de Montréal, from that date.

A Quarter-Century Built Hotel by Hotel
The career of Jacques Lapierre spans more than 25 years in North American hospitality, with a strong specialisation in the upper-upscale and luxury segments. Between May 2022 and April 2025, he served as Vice President of Operations for Gray Collection, overseeing a collection of five hotels, ten restaurants and terraces, and a spa across Montréal and Ottawa — having previously been opening General Manager of Hôtel William Gray in Old Montréal from July 2021.
Before Montréal, Jacques Lapierre led the Loews Hotel 1000 in Seattle from November 2019 to June 2021, during which time he oversaw the property’s sale process as the principal point of contact between head office, CBRE and prospective buyers. He had earlier been opening General Manager of the BISHA Hotel Toronto, an upscale lifestyle property, from September 2016 to November 2019, where he led all phases of construction, design and pre-opening.
His career took shape from the mid-2000s within the Marriott network, with General Manager roles at Hôtel Place d’Armes (Corner Collection), at Hôtel 10 Montréal (Opus Hôtel Montréal), and later at Fairfield Inn & Suites Montréal Airport. Between 2011 and 2015, he led the Quebec City Marriott Downtown, overseeing the property’s conversion from the Courtyard flag to a full-service Marriott — a performance recognised with Marriott International’s 2012 Chairman Award for service excellence.

Jacques Lapierre began his career as a flight attendant with Air Canada before entering the hospitality industry in 2001, at Loews Le Concorde Québec. He completed an internship in event management and finance at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in 2003, before holding several rooms division and operations management roles with Urgo Hotels Canada, including at Courtyard by Marriott Québec and in St. John’s. He holds a diploma in hotel management from Mérici Collégial Privé in Québec City.
