Three regional teams merged into one
Marriott International has combined the support teams of its East, West and Canada regions into a single unit. The new team covers four areas: Ancillary Products & Experiences, Spa, Golf and Food & Beverage Revenue Optimization.
The group has placed Jill McFadden in charge. She retains her role as Vice President, Revenue Management for the Luxury East region, with expanded responsibilities. She will continue to develop integrated revenue strategies designed to maximise profitability across every guest touchpoint.
The new structure serves Marriott’s stated objective: to manage performance on the basis of total hotel revenue and profitability, rather than accommodation alone.
A luxury portfolio worth around €2.6 billion
Jill McFadden has spent more than 30 years with Marriott. Her experience centres on revenue growth, profitability and transforming the performance of complex hotel portfolios.
She currently oversees the commercial performance of four of the group’s luxury brands in the Luxury East region: The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, EDITION and W Hotels. This portfolio generates annual revenue of approximately €2.6 billion ($3 billion).

Non-room revenue, now a structural lever
In recent years, Jill McFadden has played a central role in building Marriott’s ancillary revenue capabilities. Under her leadership, revenue management for experiences, spa and golf has matured considerably.
She has also strengthened the place of non-room revenue streams within the group’s strategy. Marriott now regards them as an increasingly important driver of hotel profitability and of the value perceived by guests.
The recently launched Food & Beverage Revenue Optimization function also falls within her remit. It extends the group’s work on hotel dining, as illustrated by its Future of Food 2027 study on F&B trends in Asia-Pacific.
A performance issue for owners
LTH Analysis – By bringing spa, golf, experiences and F&B under a single leadership across such a vast territory, Marriott is aligning the management of these activities more closely with the revenue management methods applied to rooms. For owners and asset managers, what is at stake is total revenue per property. An operator’s ability to monetise its ancillary spaces and services is carrying increasing weight in the valuation of an asset.
