Fusion Hotel Group celebrated the official opening of LÈGACY Hanoi – A Fusion Original on 16 September 2026. The 218-room hotel and wellness sanctuary sits in the heart of the Vietnamese capital. The project had been announced in late 2025 alongside the Grand Royal Riverside Hue – Fusion Collection, as part of the group’s strategy to step up its presence in its two historic markets, Vietnam and Thailand.

The opening comes a few months after the acquisition of Fusion Hotel Group by Suchad Chiaranussati, founder of SC Capital Partners, a deal that created a leading pan-Asian hotel management platform. LÈGACY Hanoi therefore fits into the continued development of the group, which now operates 26 properties under eight brands across Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.

A hotel rooted in Hanoi’s heritage

Located in the historic Ngoc Ha district, LÈGACY Hanoi draws its identity from the city’s heritage: the historic O Quan Chuong Gate, the Red River and the five-petal peach blossom all inspired the hotel’s design choices. In the lobby, a monumental interpretation of the legendary crane (chim hac) rises above the reception area, surrounded by motifs and textures that evoke Vietnamese culture with a contemporary touch.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Christopher Hur, CEO of Fusion Hotel Group, said that Hanoi has an extraordinary sense of history, culture and identity. He explained that the ambition behind LÈGACY was to create a destination genuinely connected to the city, one that respects its character and heritage while offering a fresh, contemporary hospitality experience.

He added that the opening also reflects the vision, commitment and confidence of the group’s owner partners. Bringing a hotel of this scale and ambition to life, he noted, demands considerable commitment and collaboration, and Fusion is grateful for the trust they have placed in it. Today, he said, marks not the end of a project but the beginning of a new chapter – for the hotel, for the partnership with the ownership team and for Fusion in Hanoi.

218 keys split between apartments and suites

The property comprises 133 serviced apartments on floors 9 to 13 and 19 to 21, along with 85 hotel rooms on floors 14 to 18. There are eight room types, from studios to two-bedroom units, ranging from 37 sqm to 105 sqm.

The hotel offer comprises 20 Original Rooms, 45 Deluxe Suites, 5 Premium Deluxe Suites and 15 Executive Suites, each with a private balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows and a vintage record player. The apartments’ interior design combines warm wood tones, indigo blue and terracotta in a Vietnamese heritage spirit. Set on upper floors, all rooms and suites enjoy natural light and panoramic views over the city.

YÊN Spa, a wellness sanctuary

YÊN Spa, whose name means “peace” in Vietnamese, offers a selection of treatments and massages inspired by local traditions, as well as an onsen with hot and cold pools, a sauna, a steam room and a relaxation area. This wellness positioning continues Fusion’s brand identity, already claimed across its regional portfolio.

Panoramic dining

On the 24th floor, MỘC LOFT restaurant serves an all-day menu that revisits the flavours of northern Vietnam through a contemporary fusion lens. The rooftop bar, 24 Social and Terrace, completes the offer with an outdoor space designed for cocktails and sunsets, overlooking the Hanoi skyline.

General management of the hotel has been entrusted to Ngo Anh Doan, newly appointed General Manager of LÈGACY Hanoi. For him, the value of hospitality goes beyond comfort and lies in the emotional connection a place creates with its city and its people. He summed it up by saying that creativity does not erase tradition but breathes new life into it, allowing heritage to resonate with the present.
