A portfolio deal spanning three destinations
Announced on 7 October 2026, the agreement between Marriott International and FICO Corporation covers seven hotel projects, which are expected to add 1,262 keys to the group’s portfolio in Thailand. Five properties are located in Bangkok, with the other two in Pattaya and Phuket, the country’s two leading beach destinations.
The portfolio combines four brands and several segments, from luxury to midscale. It includes a JW Marriott as well as three brands not previously present in the Thai market: citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott.
THT Analysis – The agreement illustrates a multi-brand approach with a single owner. One partner covers luxury with JW Marriott, lifestyle with citizenM, midscale with Four Points Flex by Sheraton and the collection-brand segment with Series by Marriott. The portfolio remains concentrated in Bangkok, home to five of the seven projects, while Pattaya and Phuket serve as coastal entry points for the new collection brand.
JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn, the centrepiece of the luxury segment
With 288 keys, the JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn is the largest property in the portfolio. This luxury project is set to combine upscale hospitality with urban living. It will place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, with a varied range of sports and fitness facilities as well as a dedicated lifestyle space.
citizenM makes its Thai debut
The citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 is set to mark the brand’s entry into Thailand with 147 keys. Located in the Sukhumvit district, the property will draw on the brand’s fundamentals: intuitive technology, contemporary interior design and attentive service. It will also include a food and beverage offering.
Three Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels in Bangkok
Four Points Flex by Sheraton enters Thailand with three Bangkok addresses, all close to the BTS Skytrain: the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 (162 keys), the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 14 (130 keys) and the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Surawong (201 keys), set in a heritage-rich neighbourhood.
Designed for guests on the move, the brand focuses on the essentials. Reliability, efficiency and value for money shape both its design and the guest experience.

Series by Marriott arrives in Pattaya and Phuket
The newest of the group’s collection brands, Series by Marriott targets comfortable, accessible stays. It aims to reflect the character of each destination while ensuring the reliability and consistency of Marriott standards.
The brand will debut in Thailand with two beach properties: Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott (192 keys), and Easy Planet Phuket Patong, Series by Marriott (142 keys). In Pattaya, it joins a market where the group recently introduced its eponymous brand with the opening of the Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa.
An established relationship with FICO Corporation
The new agreement extends an existing partnership. FICO Corporation already operates four hotels in Bangkok under four Marriott brands: Hotel Muse Bangkok, Autograph Collection; Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok Townhall Sukhumvit; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit; and Metropole Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
Once all seven projects are completed, the joint portfolio will reach eleven hotels under eight brands, three of which are new to the country.
