The Fes Marriott Hotel Jnan Palace announces the appointment of Nabil Azerfi as General Manager, as the five-star, 244-room hotel continues the rollout of its recent renovation. Nabil Azerfi has worked for several international and regional hotel groups over the course of his career, including Palaces & Traditions Group, Boudl Hotels & Resorts, Hilton International, Mazagan Beach Resort and Louvre Hotels Group.
He joined Marriott International in 2021 as Director of Rooms Operations, in Rabat, where he was part of the team that opened the Rabat Marriott Hotel. Marriott subsequently promoted him to Executive Assistant Manager in 2024, a role in which he oversaw team management, operational improvements and the maintenance of guest service standards.
Nabil Azerfi has also been involved in the hospitality industry at a regional level, serving as Secretary General of the Regional Hospitality Industry Association, where he worked to develop tourism and support local hotel operators. His career also includes General Manager roles at Boudl Hotels and Resorts Co., in Jeddah, and at Louvre Hotels Group, in Marrakech, as well as operations leadership roles at Meliá Hotels International and Palaces & Traditions Group. He began his career at Hilton, in Rabat, as a Switchboard Operator, then Front Desk Receptionist, before becoming Night Manager.
The Fes Marriott Hotel Jnan Palace spans 6.5 hectares and features 244 rooms and suites, several restaurants and dining venues, an outdoor pool, gardens as well as conference and event facilities. The property, owned by Madaëf, the tourism investment arm of the CDG group, and operated by Marriott International, recently completed a major architectural overhaul by architect Paul Sartres, combining contemporary interiors with traditional Fez craftsmanship.
The lobby now features local artwork, more natural light and a tea and pastry bar. The central Patio Andalous retains traditional mashrabiya screens, hand-carved wooden ceilings and zellige tilework made by local artisans. The hotel has also added a retail gallery hosting brands such as Glam Corner, Swiss Arabian and jeweller Calirra, as well as the Croon Lounge, dedicated to live music, and the EME Lounge, with a private-club atmosphere. Landscape designer Akram El Harraqui has also redesigned the outdoor pathways, connecting the hotel’s indoor spaces to the pool and gardens.
