This appointment marks the return of Olivier Leroy to the Barrière group, which he first joined in 2016 to lead the pre-opening of the future Barrière property in Saint-Barthélemy. On that occasion, he oversaw the hotel’s construction project, legal negotiations, operational implementation, business plan development, as well as the opening of the Shellona restaurant in partnership with Moma Group.
Eight years at the helm of the Hotel Christopher Saint-Barth
Since September 2018, Olivier Leroy had served as General Manager of the Hotel Christopher Saint-Barth, where he guided the property’s revival following Hurricane Irma and the February 2018 fire. Over nearly eight years, he led an extensive renovation programme, developed three new villas, restructured the hotel’s communications, and secured several international accolades, including Green Globe certification, renewed six times since 2020, as well as Virtuoso network affiliation in 2021.
His time at the Christopher began in 2012 as Executive Assistant Manager, before a first appointment as General Manager in 2015. There, he led several renovation projects, redesigned the distribution and revenue management strategy, supported the opening of the Sisley Spa, and managed the crisis response during Cyclone Gonzalo.
