Appointment, USA | Scott Weisz appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Hospitality Officer at Marriott Vacations Worldwide

Marriott Vacations Worldwide announces the appointment of Scott Weisz as Executive Vice President and Chief Hospitality Officer. The Group praised more than 27 years of leadership experience within the organisation, during which Scott Weisz helped shape the experiences delivered to guests. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the Owner Services, Resort Operations, Asset Management and Architecture & Construction teams, in keeping with the Group’s commitment to leading hospitality experiences.

Scott Weisz had held the position of Executive Vice President, Strategic Business Operations since November 2024, a member of the Group’s Executive Committee reporting directly to John Geller, President and CEO. He had previously led global inventory and revenue management for the Americas East region of the Group’s vacation ownership business, from 2021 to 2024, having held the position of Senior Vice President for the same region from 2018 to 2021.

His career at Marriott Vacations Worldwide spans more than 24 years, including eleven years as Vice President, Asset Management, from 2007 to 2018, preceded by a role as Director, Feasibility & Business Planning, in Orlando, Florida, from 2002 to 2007. He began his career at Marriott International as Assistant Front Desk Manager at the JW Marriott Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, in Washington, before joining Marriott Vacations Worldwide.

Scott Weisz completed all of his training and early professional experience within the Marriott ecosystem, with internships at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City and the Marriott’s Cypress Harbour Resort, as well as a role as Front Desk Associate at the Bethesda Marriott Hotel. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, where he also worked as a Front Desk Supervisor at the Statler Hotel.
