Among the priorities set for his mandate are asset enhancement, portfolio development, improving operational performance and identifying new opportunities, fostering closer integration between property ownership, investment, hotel management and brand experience development.

An Executive Asset Manager Role at the Heart of Strategy

The Executive Asset Manager dimension of Simone Giorgi’s role reflects a broader trend in luxury hospitality, where the financial valuation of real estate assets is becoming inseparable from the operational management of properties. The profile selected by Shedir Collection thus combines overall responsibility for the group with direct expertise in the performance of its assets.

Writing on LinkedIn, Simone Giorgi said he was very happy and proud to begin a new professional chapter as CEO and Executive Asset Manager of Shedir Collection. He noted that joining the group at such a pivotal moment in its development represented both a major opportunity and a significant responsibility, adding that Shedir Collection had built a solid reputation in the hotel industry, driven by an ambitious entrepreneurial vision and an authentic culture of hospitality.

On LinkedIn, Simone Giorgi also thanked Orient Express, the Arsenale property, and his colleagues and partners for this closing chapter of his career, before expressing his enthusiasm for beginning this new chapter alongside the Shedir Collection teams.

A Tighter Governance Structure to Support Growth

Shedir Collection, whose portfolio includes the Vilòn, Maalot and Umiltà 36 hotels in Rome as well as the Capri Tiberio Palace, continues on a path of consolidation and development in the Italian and international luxury hospitality segment. Simone Giorgi’s appointment forms part of this momentum, alongside a tighter governance structure built around the founder and his partners.
