Jordan | IHG and Al Ameed Coffee sign Noted Collection hotel in Amman

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Al Ameed Coffee to open a Noted Collection hotel in Amman, built entirely around Jordanian coffee culture. The 50-room property will sit on one of the capital's main gateway corridors, linking the city centre to Queen Alia International Airport. IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a franchise agreement with Al Ameed Coffee, a Jordanian coffee specialist, to develop a Noted Collection hotel in Amman. The 50-room property will mark Al Ameed Coffee’s first move into hospitality, drawing on a coffee heritage that stretches back more than half a century in the country.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts, pointed to the momentum in the Jordanian market. He said Jordan continues to strengthen its position as a long-term growth market, driven by national tourism development priorities and an increasingly diverse visitor base, and that this spirit makes the forthcoming coffee-inspired hotel in Amman a natural fit for the Noted Collection brand. Rooted in the craft, culture and ritual of coffee, he added, the hotel will offer a stay shaped by local heritage and designed to spark curiosity, connection and conversation.

A hotel concept built around coffee

The project does not treat coffee as just another point of service. The building’s first two floors will house a coffee reserve and experience centre, conceived as a genuine food & beverage destination celebrating the heritage, craftsmanship and rituals associated with coffee.

This theme will run throughout the property, with guest rooms designed in keeping with the concept and coffee-led experience moments woven into the guest journey. IHG has not yet disclosed an opening date or the hotel’s trading name.

Basel Daher, Managing Partner of Al Ameed Coffee, described the project as a natural extension of the company’s story. For more than five decades, he said, Al Ameed Coffee has built its history around the craft and culture of coffee, and this hotel represents a natural evolution of that story — an opportunity to translate what the company has created through coffee into a complete hospitality experience, rooted in Jordan and designed to leave a lasting impression.

Amman, a strategic corridor between city and airport

The hotel will sit on one of the Jordanian capital’s principal gateway corridors, linking central Amman to Queen Alia International Airport. IHG describes the area as a fast-developing district, underpinned by growth in the surrounding residential neighbourhoods, strong commercial activity and good transport connectivity.

This positioning, the group says, answers rising demand for premium, differentiated accommodation as the corridor grows denser and more attractive.

Noted Collection, an accelerating brand for IHG

The signing forms part of the rise of Noted Collection, IHG’s 21st portfolio brand, launched in February 2026 to bring together premium independent hotels while allowing them to keep their own identity. The group says preliminary discussions are already under way with several owners, including some with multi-hotel portfolios, on future additions to the brand.

The Amman signing comes just weeks after Riyadh was confirmed as the site of the Middle East’s first Noted Collection hotel, underlining the brand’s rapid rollout across the region.

IHG strengthens its footprint in Jordan

Beyond Noted Collection, the signing adds to IHG’s broader presence in Jordan, where the group currently operates eight hotels across three brands: InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Resort. It follows other recent milestones in the country, including the launch of the voco brand in Amman.

For Al Ameed Coffee, the deal marks a diversification into hospitality, drawing on IHG’s global enterprise platform, its commercial systems and the more than 160 million members of its IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.
