The Hawaiian group, a privately held Western Australian property company with a diversified portfolio spanning retail, office, hospitality and land development, announces the appointment of Beau Waters as Chief Executive Officer. The Group owns and operates, among other assets, the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, in Perth’s central business district, as well as the Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, in Broome, in the Kimberley region.
Beau Waters joined Hawaiian in February 2025 as Chief Operating Officer. According to the Group’s statement, he has since demonstrated notable leadership, strong alignment with the company’s values, and a firm commitment to positive outcomes for staff, partners and local communities. His appointment as Chief Executive Officer follows a process described as rigorous and competitive, and takes effect immediately.
Russell Gibbs, Chairman of Hawaiian’s Board of Directors, said the Board unanimously identified Beau Waters as the standout candidate to lead the company into its next chapter. He noted that since joining as Chief Operating Officer in 2025, Beau Waters had made a significant impact across the organisation, earning the trust of staff and building strong relationships with stakeholders, while embodying the values that define the Group.
With more than twenty years of experience in leadership, teamwork and community engagement, Beau Waters brings, according to Hawaiian, a perspective shaped by his background across business, sport and community work. He has notably received the AFL Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award, been involved with the organisation Youth Focus, serves as an ambassador for the Cancer Council, and recently joined the board of the West Coast Eagles Australian football club.
Beau Waters said he was honoured by the trust placed in him, noting that Hawaiian is an organisation with a strong culture, a talented team and a clearly defined sense of purpose. He added that he firmly believes in the strength of the Group’s people, partnerships and the communities in which it operates, and said he looks forward to continuing, alongside the team, the mission of creating places where people and businesses can thrive.
