Hilton announces the opening of Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the debut of its lifestyle brand Canopy in Southeast Asia. The Group had already identified this property as one of the major openings in its luxury and lifestyle development across Asia Pacific. Located in the vibrant Asoke district, the property is within a ten-minute walk of the Asoke BTS Skytrain and Sukhumvit MRT stations, close to Bangkok’s main shopping, dining, nightlife and business districts.

The public spaces were designed by award-winning interior architecture firm AvroKO, drawing inspiration from Asoke’s shifting identity through locally rooted design, four distinct dining concepts and experiences curated by a dedicated City Curator. The hotel has also partnered with Bangkok lifestyle brand LaLaLove for a limited-edition merchandise collection and retail space, the first step in an evolving programme showcasing Thai artisans and creatives.

Alexandra Murray, Vice President, Southeast Asia at Hilton, noted that Bangkok has long ranked among the region’s most attractive cities, and that the opening of Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit adds a new dimension to the Group’s growing lifestyle portfolio. She said the thoughtful design, distinctive dining offering and city-curated experiences offer a fresh way to discover Bangkok, blending familiar comfort with the inspiration of the new, underpinned by Hilton’s signature service.

The hotel’s architectural narrative unfolds across the lobby and restaurants, drawing on the layered history of Asoke, from its industrial heritage to the glamour of the former Sri Krung Sound film studios, and the contrast between old and new that defines the city today. These references come through in a bronze façade inspired by vintage cameras and a central courtyard connecting the street directly to the heart of the property.

Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit features 174 rooms designed as comfortable retreats, including King and Twin Canopy rooms, accessible rooms, city view rooms, courtyard view and courtyard view deluxe rooms, as well as three suites. The rooms draw inspiration from the warmth of the Thai family homes once found along Sukhumvit Soi 12, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, with hand-woven blue Paa Khram fabric placed above the bed in tribute to one of Thailand’s oldest traditional textiles.

On the dining side, four venues punctuate the day: Cante, a wood-fired grill and Spanish-inspired tavern evoking Barcelona, Valencia and Andalusia; SoolHaus, a Korean-inspired cocktail bar; Luso, a café dedicated to Bangkok-roasted coffee and premium Thai teas; and Glint, a rooftop pool bar with views over the Thai capital’s skyline.

He praised the partnership with Hilton in making this property the first Canopy address in Southeast Asia, a product he described as distinctive and experience-led.
