Spanish hotel group Fergus Hotels is continuing its expansion in the Balearic Islands by taking over the management of Fergus Bamboo Alcudia, a 208-room, four-star property in Puerto de Alcúdia. The agreement brings its portfolio to 40 hotels, including 23 in Mallorca, and marks its first presence in the Bay of Alcúdia.

First property in the Bay of Alcúdia

Fergus Hotels announced on 5 November 2026 that it had taken over the management of the former THB Bamboo Alcudia, now operating under the name Fergus Bamboo Alcudia.

Located near Lake Esperanza in the Puerto de Alcúdia area, the four-star property offers 208 rooms and suites. Recently renovated, it features two swimming pools, a buffet restaurant, a pool bar, a gym and dedicated facilities for cyclists, meetings and events.

The addition marks the group’s first property in the Bay of Alcúdia, a major tourist destination in northern Mallorca.

A renewed partnership with Calena Partners

The property remains owned by Calena Partners, while Fergus Hotels operates it under a management agreement.

The two companies already work together in Mallorca, notably at the Fergus Style Tobago, a five-star hotel in Palmanova.

The latest agreement illustrates the group’s expansion through management contracts, without acquiring the underlying real estate assets.

This operating strategy is consistent with the group’s previous transactions, notably in Torremolinos, where Covivio Hotels acquired a 440-room property operated by FERGUS Group under a 20-year lease.

A portfolio of 40 hotels and more than 16,000 accommodation places

With this addition, Fergus Hotels has expanded its portfolio to 40 properties, including 23 in Mallorca.

The agreement follows several other additions on the island, including three hotels in Cala Major, one in Puerto de Andratx and another in Puerto de Pollença.

Across its various brands, the group now markets more than 16,000 accommodation places throughout the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Andalusia and Catalonia.

This expansion underlines Mallorca’s central role in the Spanish group’s growth strategy while strengthening its presence across several of the country’s tourist destinations.

Meanwhile, Mallorca continues to attract institutional investors, as illustrated by Amundi’s recent acquisition of Bikini Island & Mountain Port de Sóller.
