SiteMinder appoints Miguel Sánchez as Vice President, Market for the EMEA region, based at the platform’s European headquarters in Barcelona. Robb Report unveils its annual ranking of the world’s best luxury hotels. Shinta Mani Mustang, in Nepal, takes first place, ahead of Singita Kwitonda in Rwanda and Hope Lodge in Scotland. The Bristol Paris ranks eighth, the only French property in the top 10.

The AC Hotel by Marriott Bulle will open its doors on 15 September in Switzerland, in the new mixed-use Pâla district. The 120-room property will be operated by Swiss company Sophos Hotels, which counts 225 properties worldwide.

🚧 Closure
In Gabon, the Mvett Palace hotel in Oyem has been closed to the public since 23 July for restructuring and rehabilitation works, by decision of the Head of State. The 70-room property, which had fallen into disrepair over several years, has placed its entire staff on furlough.
