Since 1 August 2026, the former Hilton has been operating under the name Hotel Evian-les-Bains by Leonardo Hotels. A major renovation programme will begin shortly, with the hotel remaining open to guests throughout the works.

In due course, the property will join the Group’s lifestyle portfolio under the NYX Hotel Evian-les-Bains by Leonardo Hotels brand. This banner focuses on contemporary design, local art and immersive experiences aimed at a young, cosmopolitan clientele.

Located at the foot of the French Alps, the hotel has 170 rooms and suites, a large proportion of which offer panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains. The property features a lakeside restaurant with terrace, a bar, a heated outdoor pool, a fitness centre, a wellness and spa area, meeting facilities and an Executive Lounge dedicated to business guests.

Évian-les-Bains is among the most renowned resort towns in eastern France. Its location on Lake Geneva, close to the Swiss border, attracts guests year-round, spanning both leisure tourism and business travel. The town centre is accessible on foot from the hotel, while boat links to Lausanne make it an ideal base for exploring both France and Switzerland.

Yoram Biton, Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, described the acquisition as an important milestone in the Group’s European ambitions. “The acquisition of the Évian-les-Bains hotel illustrates the continued strength of our growth strategy in France. This destination combines international appeal with sustained year-round demand, in both the leisure and business sectors. It fits perfectly with our European development strategy,” he said.

Once the renovation is complete, the future NYX Hotel Evian-les-Bains will offer a more modern, lifestyle-oriented experience, while retaining the property’s prime lakeside location.

This deal confirms investors’ growing confidence in the French hospitality sector and further strengthens the presence of Leonardo Hotels, already engaged in several acquisitions across Europe, in one of the continent’s most sought-after tourism markets.
