Kerzner International announces the appointment of Martin Cody as Cluster General Manager for Rwanda, where he will lead the Group’s two properties in the country: One&Only Gorilla’s Nest and One&Only Nyungwe House. His remit will be to create exceptional experiences showcasing the country’s outstanding natural beauty, wildlife and culture.

Authentically rooted in their destination, both properties connect guests with Rwanda’s lesser-known wonders, from encounters with majestic mountain gorillas in the wild at One&Only Gorilla’s Nest, to the serenity of the tea plantations and primary forest surrounding One&Only Nyungwe House.

Martin Cody joins Kerzner International after more than twenty years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Since July 2022, he had held the position of Regional Vice President & General Manager, Hotel & Residential Operations at the Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, in Johannesburg, having previously served as Senior General Manager of the same property from September 2021. He had earlier completed a temporary assignment with Four Seasons’ Europe, Middle East and Africa regional office, in Dubai.

His career with the brand also includes serving as General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, in Shanghai, as well as the Four Seasons Safari Lodge, in the Serengeti, where he had previously held the position of Lodge Manager. He also led operations at the Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru as Resort Manager, after serving there as Director of Rooms, and held rooms division leadership roles at the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi and the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, in Hawaii. He began his hospitality career as Night Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel London Park Lane, following several years within the property’s front office department.

A graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, with a Bachelor of Commerce, and a diploma from the Shannon College of Hotel Management, Martin Cody rounded out his education with a certification in hotel real estate investment and asset management from Cornell University.
