Hilton is highlighting the link between its Hilton Honors loyalty programme and its growing portfolio of all-inclusive resorts across Latin America and the Caribbean. Stays are now available from 51,000 points per night, a policy designed to turn this segment into a growth driver for the group as competition intensifies around this format.

A segment Hilton has been building for several years

Long a laggard on all-inclusive compared with Marriott or Hyatt, Hilton has stepped up its presence in this format since the opening of the Hilton Cancun in 2021, followed by the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe and the Hilton Vallarta Riviera. The group recently confirmed the conversion of the Amàre Cancun into an adults-only Curio Collection by Hilton resort, a further sign of its intent to strengthen its footprint in one of its largest Caribbean and Latin American markets.

The portfolio also extends beyond Mexico, with the Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, and the Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, in the Dominican Republic. Both properties, available from 98,000 points per night, round out a range designed to capture upmarket Caribbean clientele, in line with the expansion of Curio Collection into the Bahamas with the Paradise Breeze Nassau, due to open in 2028.

Hilton Honors, the main lever for conversion

In this segment, Hilton‘s commercial strategy relies less on headline pricing than on spending clarity. A night paid for in points covers accommodation, dining and drinks, which simplifies the guest’s budgeting when booking. The group highlights the absence of blackout dates, the waiving of resort fees and the offer of a free fifth night on points stays, all of which reinforce the perceived value of the reward.

The Points & Money feature also allows guests to combine points with cash payment at the time of booking, a flexibility that widens the pool of members likely to use their points on this type of stay rather than saving them for other purposes.

Differentiated benefits for loyal members

Beyond booking, Hilton Honors shapes the entire guest journey at these properties. Elite members can be eligible for room upgrades subject to availability, choose their room and use Digital Key at participating properties. Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diamond Reserve members also receive a 15% discount on individual spa treatments at all-inclusive resorts.

This benefits structure fits within a broader loyalty strategy, as Hilton has recently overhauled its entire Honors programme with the introduction of Diamond Reserve status, designed to accelerate progression towards the highest elite tiers.

An offering segmented by traveller profile

Hilton‘s all-inclusive portfolio now targets several types of guests. For families, the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe and the Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort offer stays from 100,000 points per night, with thirteen pools and a dedicated teen zone at the former, and an outdoor activity park at the latter. The Hilton Vallarta Riviera, available from 80,000 points, focuses on wellness and culinary positioning between the Sierra Madre and the Puerto Vallarta seafront.

This segmentation reflects a broader trend observed across the industry. A recent study by IHG Hotels & Resorts confirms that 28% of travellers now favour all-inclusive packages, while cost remains the main barrier for 34% of them — a finding that partly explains the renewed interest of major hotel groups in this format. Accor, through the ALL Inclusive Collection platform launched by Ennismore, has followed a similar approach to building a dedicated commercial offer for the segment.

What this strategy means for investors

For owners and operators, the link between the loyalty programme and the all-inclusive offer is a measurable commercial asset: it drives direct bookings, reduces dependence on third-party channels and strengthens brand value among a Hilton Honors base of more than 226 million members worldwide. The group’s growth in this segment is expected to continue, in line with the 2026 opening calendar unveiled by Hilton, which confirms the growing momentum of the group’s lifestyle and resort brands worldwide.
