Monte-Carlo Company des Bains de Mer has entrusted Madeleine Munier with the general management of the Monte-Carlo One Courchevel, the first property under the Monte-Carlo One – Hotels & Residences brand to be rolled out beyond the Principality. She took up her post in August 2026, during the property’s pre-opening phase, in the heart of Courchevel 1850’s Jardin Alpin.

A strategic appointment for the Group’s first international growth outpost

The Monte-Carlo One Courchevel is due to welcome its first guests for the 2026/2027 winter season. The project marks a defining step for Monte-Carlo Company des Bains de Mer, which is entering a hotel market outside Monaco for the first time under its international brand, a year after acquiring the former “Palace des Neiges” in Courchevel 1850.

Nearly twenty years forged in international luxury hospitality

A graduate of a BTS in hotel management from the Lycée hôtelier Jean-Monnet, followed by a Master’s in Hospitality Management from the École Supérieure Internationale de Savignac, Madeleine Munier began her career as a receptionist between Spain and England, at the AC Barcelona and The Oxford Belfry hotels, between 2005 and 2006.

She then moved to the Seychelles, where she served as Food & Beverage Manager at the MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, in Mahé, where she joined the opening team between 2006 and 2009. She went on to the island of La Digue, at the Domaine de l’Orangeraie Resort & Spa, where she was likewise involved in the property’s pre-opening and opening, from 2010 to 2012.

Back in France, she headed the food and beverage division of the Crowne Plaza Paris République from 2012 to 2016, before joining the Airelles group.

Nine years at Airelles, including six at the helm of La Bastide de Gordes

Madeleine Munier joined Airelles in 2016 as Hotel Manager in Gordes, before taking over as General Manager of La Bastide de Gordes from 2017, a post she held for six years. In January 2023, she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the group, a role she carried out until September 2025, bringing her total tenure with the Provençal luxury house to nearly nine and a half years.

On her professional profile, Madeleine Munier said she was particularly proud to be joining Monte-Carlo Company des Bains de Mer for this project, which she describes as the Group’s first growth outpost outside the Principality.

A rare combination of resort and pre-opening expertise for an unprecedented project

Madeleine Munier’s profile, shaped by several pre-opening assignments, matches the specific requirements of a project of this kind. Her knowledge of palace-hotel standards, gained at Airelles, together with her earlier international experience, are valuable assets for the operational set-up of the future Monte-Carlo One Courchevel.
