Three US properties under her leadership

Lore Group has announced the appointment of Kristie Rasheed as Managing Director, U.S. Hotels.

In post since August 2026, she oversees the group’s US hotel operations, with responsibility for three properties:

  • Riggs Washington DC, in Washington, DC.
  • Lyle Washington DC, also located in the US capital.
  • Hotel Park Ave NYC, in New York.

Her remit encompasses operational performance, commercial strategy, financial optimisation and service quality.

She will also support the hotels’ leadership teams and ensure that each property’s distinctive positioning is maintained.

For Lore Group, whose approach places particular emphasis on the individual identity of its hotels, the challenge is to combine management discipline with a differentiated guest experience.

Most recently responsible for 42 hotels at Olympia Hospitality

Before joining Lore Group, Kristie Rasheed had served as Vice President Operations at Olympia Hospitality, based in Portland, Maine, since January 2025.

She oversaw operations across a portfolio of 42 properties, comprising independent hotels and properties operating under brands including Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott.

Her responsibilities included revenue growth, asset management, operational compliance and hotel performance monitoring.

This experience enabled her to manage a diversified portfolio, combining the requirements of international hotel groups with the distinctive characteristics of independent hospitality.

Seven years in leadership roles at The Dewberry Charleston

Kristie Rasheed previously spent more than seven years at The Dewberry Charleston, an independent luxury hotel in South Carolina.

She served as General Manager from January 2018 to March 2023 before being promoted to Managing Director, a position she held until January 2025.

In this capacity, she was responsible for the property’s overall operations, strategy and financial performance.

The 155-room hotel features several restaurants and bars, event spaces and a spa.

Her career at The Dewberry began in October 2015, when she joined the pre-opening team as Director of Revenue and Profit Optimization – Marketing & Leisure Sales.

This experience represents an important aspect of her professional background, combining involvement in the launch of an independent hotel with responsibility for its day-to-day operations and financial performance.

Expertise built around revenue management and profitability

Before moving into general management, Kristie Rasheed developed extensive expertise in commercial strategy and revenue optimisation.

Between 2004 and 2015, she notably worked at Destination Hotels as Regional Director of Reservations and Revenue Optimization.

She subsequently held regional marketing and sales responsibilities at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, from November 2016 to December 2017.

Her experience therefore spans several complementary disciplines:

  • Revenue management, pricing and distribution.
  • Commercial strategy and digital marketing.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and profitability optimisation.
  • Asset management and owner relations.
  • Operational transitions and hotel openings.
  • Team leadership and operational organisation.

She holds the CRME (Certified Revenue Management Executive) certification and a degree in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management from the University of South Carolina.

Her professional profile also lists postgraduate studies towards a master’s degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at the same university.

Lore Group prioritises leadership combining operations and commercial strategy

David Taylor, CEO of Lore Group, highlights the combination of operational expertise, commercial acumen and knowledge of independent hospitality that Kristie Rasheed brings to the organisation.

According to Taylor, her ability to build high-performing teams, grow businesses and preserve each hotel’s distinctive identity aligns with the group’s priorities.

For her part, the newly appointed executive intends to combine operational discipline with an entrepreneurial approach, focusing on employees, guests and the sustainable profitability of the properties.

Her experience across independent hotels and multi-brand portfolios is expected to help strengthen Lore Group’s US operational, commercial and financial teams.

Kristie Rasheed has also been involved in several professional organisations, notably serving as President of the Charleston Hospitality Association and as a board member of the School of Hospitality and Tourism at the College of Charleston.

LTH Analysis | A hotel executive with a strong financial focus

Kristie Rasheed’s appointment is particularly noteworthy for the combination of her operational and financial expertise.

Her career extends beyond hotel general management: it has been built around revenue management, distribution, commercial strategy and earnings optimisation.

This dual expertise reflects the requirements of groups operating independent hotels, where performance must be carefully managed without compromising the individual character of each property.

After overseeing a portfolio of 42 hotels at Olympia Hospitality, she is taking responsibility for a smaller US portfolio, but one comprising properties with particularly distinctive identities.

For Lore Group, the challenge will be to combine revenue growth, cost control and a differentiated guest experience in pursuit of sustainable profitability.
