Seven years dedicated to staff training at NagaWorld

Before joining Diamond Pearl Hotel & Residence, Tet Bunchoeun served as VIP Service Manager at Kompong Dewa Resort, in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk Province, from October 2025 to July 2026.

In this position, he contributed to employee training, improvements in the guest experience, new staff onboarding and the development of front office team capabilities.

He was already familiar with the property, having served as Group Front Office Duty Manager between December 2017 and March 2018 during the pre-opening phase of Naga2.

A career developed at Cambodia’s upscale hotels

Tet Bunchoeun has built his career across several prominent properties in Cambodia’s hospitality market.

In 2018, he notably served as Front Office Manager at Hotel Cambodiana in Phnom Penh.

Between 2016 and 2017, he participated in the pre-opening of Garden City Hotel as Assistant Front Office Manager.

From 2014 to 2016, he worked as Night Manager at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, a five-star property with 201 rooms.

His experience also includes concierge operations and hotel pre-opening responsibilities at Sokhalay Angkor Resort & Spa and Thansur Bokor Highland Resort, as well as at Le Méridien Angkor, where he worked between 2008 and 2011 in concierge, front office and reservations services.

His earliest hospitality experience dates back to the early 2000s, notably at Sky Way Hotel in Siem Reap.

Operational expertise complemented by hotel systems proficiency

Beyond his experience in guest services and accommodation operations, Tet Bunchoeun highlights several cross-functional competencies, including the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), employee training, financial monitoring, property management systems (PMS) and interdepartmental coordination.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Build Bright University, having completed his studies between 2003 and 2007.

This combination of operational expertise and training experience has been a defining feature of his professional career.

LTH Analysis | From front office operations to general management

Tet Bunchoeun’s appointment illustrates a professional career built on hands-on hotel experience.

His background is distinguished by a strong emphasis on Rooms Division, complemented by experience in hotel pre-openings, VIP service management and team development.

His progression to general management now extends his responsibilities to financial performance, commercial development and the coordination of all hotel departments.
