TrustedStays, a leading platform in the business travel sector and a subsidiary of UK-based UnderTheDoormat Group, has announced its entry into the French market. The initiative aims to integrate professionally managed short-term rentals and serviced apartments into the Global Distribution System (GDS), enabling business travellers to book them through the same channels already used for hotels.
A GDS partnership opening new distribution channels
Through its exclusive GDS partnership with Amadeus, TrustedStays is making partner suppliers such as Veeve and Quartier Libre accessible to business travellers across France. This integration makes it easier to discover and book professionally managed accommodation, which has until now been largely absent from corporate booking tools.
Beyond the technical infrastructure, TrustedStays supports suppliers throughout the process by managing the relationship with the GDS itself. This allows owners and operators to focus on the guest relationship rather than on technology connectivity.

A French business travel market on a sustained growth path
The launch comes as global business travel spend is projected to reach a record level of around €1,590 billion ($1,710 billion) in 2026, according to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). France ranks among Europe’s largest business travel markets, making it a natural step in TrustedStays’ international expansion.
According to the annual barometer published by EPSA Group, a European performance specialist, French business travel spend reached a record €30.9 billion in 2025, surpassing the previous peak of €29.9 billion recorded in 2019. A further increase of 2.2% is expected in 2026, bringing the total to around €31.6 billion.
Serviced apartments: a fast-growing alternative
This momentum is also being driven by shifting traveller expectations. Companies and their employees are increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional hotels that offer greater flexibility, privacy, space and a more residential experience. According to Savills’ European serviced apartment report, the segment has recorded a compound annual growth rate of 5.9% since 2019, compared with 1.1% for the hotel sector as a whole.
Growth potential nonetheless remains significant: serviced apartments still account for just 8% of accommodation supply in major European cities. Access to professionally managed accommodation also remains limited within corporate travel programmes, with a large proportion of these properties not listed in the booking systems used by businesses.

A new milestone in the group’s international expansion

“Business travellers are increasingly looking for choice in how they stay, but the tools used by many companies have traditionally been built around hotels. This has long limited access to serviced apartments and short-term rentals, despite growing demand for more flexible solutions. France is a market that is in high demand among our international clients, so its integration into corporate booking systems marks an important step for our business,” says Merilee Karr, founder and CEO of TrustedStays and UnderTheDoormat Group.
France marks the latest stage in TrustedStays’ international expansion. Further launches in new markets are planned as the company continues its mission of connecting professionally managed accommodation to the booking infrastructure used by corporate travel buyers worldwide, opening up new distribution opportunities for owners and operators beyond traditional online travel agency channels.
