Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of the Accor group, announced on 18 August 2026, in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit. This marks the brand’s first address in Thailand, set in the Sukhumvit district, one of the most dynamic areas of the Thai capital. The property offers 416 rooms and suites, including 58 suites, dedicated to stays, dining, wellness, celebrations and high-end events. The hotel was designed by Thai architecture and interior design firm PIA, built around a botanical theme inspired by the country’s floral heritage. The lobby chandelier, inspired by the ratchaphruek flower, Thailand’s national flower, comprises 4,166 pieces of glass and more than 35,000 crystal spheres.
A milestone in Fairmont’s development across Asia
Omer Acar, Chief Executive Officer of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said that Thai hospitality, the richness of the country’s cultural heritage and its emphasis on social connection made it a natural fit for the brand. He described the opening as a key step in Fairmont’s development in Asia, following the highly anticipated debuts of Fairmont Hanoi and Fairmont Tokyo. This regional momentum comes amid sustained growth of lifestyle and luxury brands in Bangkok, where several international names have recently launched in the Sukhumvit district, including the opening of Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit, that lifestyle brand’s first address in Southeast Asia.
Seven dining concepts rolling out throughout 2026
Dining takes centre stage in the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit experience, with seven distinct concepts being introduced progressively over the course of 2026. Harper’s reinterprets the North American and French brasserie, while AELA Social Bar evolves from an elegant daytime lounge into a cocktail destination after dark. CAYA Pool Club showcases Thai street food through contemporary cuisine and creative cocktails, in a spirit inspired by Bangkok’s night markets. The hotel also welcomes Wiggle Room, an immersive supper club due to open in mid-September 2026, accessed via a private entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18. This new entertainment venue pairs the spirit of classic cabaret with contemporary Bangkok energy, featuring live music, performances and cuisine built around a dedicated stage. In December 2026, the dining offering will extend to the hotel’s 32nd and 33rd floors, with a rooftop housing two new concepts: one blending Italian and Japanese influences with views over the Bangkok skyline, the other dedicated to contemporary Thai cuisine.
A 2,000 sqm events hub
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit offers more than 2,000 sqm of flexible event space spread across three dedicated floors, designed to accommodate any type of gathering, from corporate summits and international conferences to weddings and gala dinners. The Signature Grand Ballroom, with a 12-metre-high ceiling and a dedicated arrival forecourt, forms the heart of this offering, complemented by a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms and the Couture Hall. Wallapa Traisorat, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Asset World Corp Public Company Limited, described Fairmont’s arrival in Thailand as an important milestone for AWC and for its long-standing partnership with Accor. She highlighted the group’s commitment to working with leading international brands to strengthen Thailand’s tourism industry and create long-term value for all stakeholders, as part of AWC’s sustainable growth strategy, “Building Better Future.”
Wellness, families and sustainability at the heart of the concept
The hotel embraces Fairmont’s signature “Wellness Without Walls” approach, integrating wellness throughout the guest journey well beyond the spa alone. Fairmont Spa draws inspiration from jasmine, a symbol of hospitality and purity in Thailand, while Fairmont Studio offers dedicated spaces for yoga and strength training, complemented by the Fairmont Fit programme designed to support guests in maintaining their routines during their stay. Jérôme Lobier, General Manager of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, said he was delighted to welcome the property’s first guests to a destination conceived as a meeting point between international travellers and the local community. He stressed the team’s commitment to offering sincere, attentive service true to the brand’s identity, whether around dining, wellness or celebrations. The property also features a Kids Club for families and welcomes pets up to 30 kilograms. Guests booking the Fairmont Gold offering benefit from the brand’s signature hotel-within-a-hotel concept, with a dedicated reception, exclusive lounge and dedicated concierge team. On the environmental front, the hotel was designed to LEED Gold standards, incorporating biophilic design, water recycling, smart energy management, electric vehicle charging points and a thermal-reduction façade. Bookings for stays from 18 August 2026 are already available via Fairmont.com and ALL.com. The property joins Fairmont’s global portfolio of more than 90 hotels, within the Accor group, which spans more than 5,800 properties in over 110 countries.
