First international exposure following the brand’s launch
On 22 October 2026, Minor Hotels announced that Life Longevity had become a strategic partner of the 2026 Global Wellness Summit, whose 20th edition will take place in Phuket, Thailand, from 10 to 13 November.
The invitation-only event brings together executives and specialists from the global wellness economy, including representatives of the hospitality, medical, investment and research sectors.
This year’s discussions will focus on the theme The Science, Art and Soul of Wellness.
The partnership comes just weeks after the official launch of Life Longevity, first covered by La Tribune de l’Hôtellerie on 8 October.
That initial announcement outlined the brand’s positioning, its first locations in Thailand and its ambition to develop an international network of longevity centres.
What is new is the institutional visibility that Minor Hotels now intends to give this business.
Phuket: Showcasing an already operational model
The choice of Phuket is particularly significant for Minor Hotels.
The group operates its flagship facility, Layan Life Longevity Retreat, within Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, close to the summit venue.
The facility combines consultations conducted by healthcare professionals, personalised diagnostics, clinical approaches and traditional Thai medicine.
Summit participants will have the opportunity to experience the facilities and programmes first-hand.
Minor Hotels therefore has an opportunity to showcase its concept in an operational setting rather than limiting its communications to a corporate presentation.
The involvement of Thailand’s Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine among the summit’s host partners also reinforces the event’s local dimension.
A brand seeking its place in the international wellness ecosystem
For William E. Heinecke, founder and Chairman of Minor International, the partnership reflects the group’s longstanding commitment to wellbeing.
One of the objectives is to raise awareness of its approach to continuity of services beyond the hotel stay.
For her part, Nancy Davis, Executive Director and Chief Creative Officer of the Global Wellness Summit, highlights the growing importance of wellness and longevity within the hospitality experience.
The partnership comes as Life Longevity is also preparing to establish an urban presence at The St. Regis Bangkok, scheduled for November 2026.
As explained in our first article dedicated to the brand, Minor Hotels intends to connect its locations through personalised support and a membership programme.
The Phuket summit therefore represents less a new operational milestone than an opportunity to present this strategy to potential partners, investors and specialist industry stakeholders.
LTH Analysis | A strategic positioning initiative targeting wellness decision-makers
This partnership represents neither a new opening nor the announcement of additional investment.
Nevertheless, it demonstrates Minor Hotels’ intention to establish Life Longevity rapidly among the brands recognised by international longevity professionals.
The choice of an event bringing together hoteliers, investors, medical professionals and researchers is consistent with a business model that extends beyond the traditional boundaries of the hotel spa.
For the group, the next challenge will be to convert this visibility into development opportunities across resorts, major cities and, eventually, residential real estate.
The strategic question is therefore no longer the launch of Life Longevity, which has already taken place, but its ability to bring partners together and build an international network.
The announcement includes no new numerical targets for future locations or investment amounts.
