Belmond, the hotel subsidiary of LVMH, has announced the appointment of Brice Kemper as General Manager of La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, a luxury property located in Saint-Martin, in the French West Indies. He took up his post in August 2026.
A career forged on the Côte d’Azur
Brice Kemper built the bulk of his hospitality expertise at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, where he spent thirteen years, from 2006 to 2019. There, he successively held the roles of Rooms Division Manager and then Director of Sales, Marketing & Rooms Division Manager, before being appointed Resident Manager, a position he held from 2013 to 2019.
This longevity at one of the most emblematic properties on the French Riviera gave him exposure to a broad range of operational and commercial functions, from rooms management through to deputy general management.
International development between Europe and the United States
From 2019, Brice Kemper entered a more international phase of his career. He joined The Phoenicia Malta as Hotel General Manager (2019-2020), before taking over as General Manager of The Boca Raton, in Florida, from 2021 to 2022.
He then returned to France to lead Maison Albar Hotels Le Victoria, in Nice, as Hotel Manager, from 2023 to 2024.
His leadership profile is underpinned by strong training credentials: the General Manager’s programme at Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration, studies at the École hôtelière de Lausanne, and a period at the University of Michigan.
La Samanna, a strategic asset in the Belmond portfolio
La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel is part of Belmond’s international portfolio, whose leadership development has regularly been the subject of governance moves within the group, which has been an LVMH subsidiary since 2019. The property, located on the island of Saint-Martin, occupies a distinctive position within the Caribbean hospitality offering, balancing heritage character with an ultra-luxury positioning.
