Our Habitas makes its debut in the United Arab Emirates
On 28 September 2026, Caravan Hatta by Our Habitas opened at Hatta Resorts, in the Hajar Mountains, near Hatta Dam.
The property marks the first opening of the Our Habitas brand in the United Arab Emirates.
The opening forms part of the existing partnership between Dubai Holding and Ennismore, the hospitality group whose portfolio includes Our Habitas.
The new property reflects the brand’s positioning around an experiential approach to luxury, prioritising nature, human connections and cultural activities.
Following the development of Our Habitas AlUla in Saudi Arabia, Ennismore is continuing to expand the brand into natural destinations across the Middle East.
A hospitality concept featuring 50 Airstream caravans
Caravan Hatta comprises 50 fitted-out Airstream caravans, divided into 13 Ridge units and 37 Peak units.
The accommodation offers views across the valley, mountains or lake.
Each unit features a double bed, dining area, compact kitchenette, bathroom, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a private wooden terrace.
The interiors emphasise natural materials, including timber, rattan, linen and stone, combined with decorative elements inspired by traditional Emirati nomadic culture.
The project is based on an architectural approach described as low-impact and adapted to its mountainous surroundings.
However, the announcement provides no quantitative data enabling an assessment of the environmental footprint of either construction or operations.
Paris Society Consulting contributes to the dining concept
One of the project’s distinguishing features is its food and beverage offering.
The Madar restaurant, whose name means “orbit” in Arabic, was developed in collaboration with Paris Society Consulting.
The concept focuses on convivial dining inspired by Emirati culinary traditions and regional produce.
Its cuisine notably highlights wood-fired cooking and traditional underground cooking techniques.
The offering is complemented by poolside dining areas and barbecue events.
The involvement of Paris Society Consulting illustrates the importance placed on food and beverage within the property’s positioning, extending its appeal beyond accommodation alone.
Wellness and outdoor activities at the heart of the experience
Caravan Hatta features an infinity pool overlooking the mountains, alongside an observation platform designed, among other purposes, for stargazing.
The activity programme includes hiking, cycling routes, kayaking and paddleboarding on Hatta Dam.
Cultural experiences are also available, notably centred on Arabic coffee, music and traditional local practices.
The Thuraya Wellness area offers a range of wellness facilities and activities, including a sauna, outdoor cold plunge, hot tub, yoga and meditation.
The brand has therefore developed an offering combining accommodation, dining, sporting activities, wellness and cultural programming.
This diversity of services is intended to establish the property as a destination in its own right.

Yasmin Huneidi appointed General Manager
Yasmin Huneidi serves as General Manager of Caravan Hatta.
According to Huneidi, the objective is to strengthen Hatta’s appeal by offering an experience distinct from the urban and coastal destinations traditionally associated with the United Arab Emirates.
The property’s positioning is notably based on showcasing the Hajar Mountains and outdoor activities.
Published rates start from AED 1,200 per night (approximately €300), representing an upscale price positioning for an unconventional accommodation format.
The announcement does not disclose the investment amount, the duration of the operating agreement or the financial terms of the partnership between Dubai Holding and Ennismore.
LTH Analysis | Experiential luxury creates new opportunities for secondary destinations
The opening of Caravan Hatta illustrates an evolution in hotel development across the United Arab Emirates.
Historically dominated by large beachfront resorts and luxury urban hotels, the country’s hospitality offering is gradually diversifying towards smaller-scale accommodation formats located in natural environments.
With 50 Airstream caravans, Ennismore is introducing a hospitality product whose value proposition depends less on the size of the accommodation than on the overall guest experience.
The model combines limited accommodation capacity with several potential revenue-generating components: food and beverage, wellness, activities and event programming.
It also offers an interesting proposition for destinations seeking to develop tourism without replicating traditional luxury hotel real estate formats.
For Dubai Holding and Ennismore, Caravan Hatta provides an opportunity to continue diversifying Hatta’s tourism offering while strengthening the regional presence of Our Habitas.
The involvement of Paris Society Consulting in developing the restaurant concept also highlights the growing importance of specialist expertise in designing experiential destinations.
Nevertheless, this positioning entails specific operational challenges, particularly in logistics, accommodation maintenance, seasonality and the management of outdoor activities.
Caravan Hatta’s commercial success will therefore depend on its ability to maintain premium pricing while maximising the value of its various services and controlling operating costs.
Beyond this opening, the project illustrates Ennismore’s ambition to develop differentiated hospitality concepts capable of integrating into environments where traditional hotel formats may not necessarily represent the most appropriate response to tourism potential.
