An international career spanning France, Morocco and the United Kingdom

Philippe Clement has been appointed Venue Director of Grosvenor Casino The Victoria, Grosvenor Casinos’ historic venue on Edgware Road in London.

The appointment marks another milestone in the French executive’s career, which began as a croupier in France in 2002 before progressing into operational and management positions within several international groups.

A team of 380 employees, with talent development a priority

Leading a team of approximately 380 employees, Philippe Clement intends to continue developing the venue, with particular emphasis on guest experience, operational quality and career progression opportunities for staff.

In the press release announcing his appointment, he highlights the international clientele’s longstanding connection with The Victoria’s history and poker offering.

“My priority is to continue developing our teams, continually improving the experience of our guests and strengthening The Vic’s position as one of London’s must-visit casino destinations.”

The executive also emphasises the professional mobility opportunities offered by the casino industry, drawing on his own career.

“I started as a croupier and today have the privilege of leading one of London’s most iconic casinos. Supporting our employees in their professional development and enabling them to progress will always remain one of my main priorities.”
