Vietnamese hotel group Fusion Hotel Group has announced the integration of Indonesian brands Ayola and Odua, operated by Topotels Hotels & Resorts, into its regional portfolio. The deal covers seven midscale properties spread across several Indonesian cities, including Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya.

A new stage in Fusion’s regional development

Founded in 2008, Fusion Hotel Group has built its reputation around wellness-oriented hospitality concepts, primarily in Vietnam and Thailand. The group now operates 26 properties across eight brands, spanning urban lifestyle concepts through to branded residences, a segment enjoying strong growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

The addition of Ayola and Odua marks the group’s first structured foray into Indonesia, a market previously absent from its direct portfolio. It forms part of a broader strategy of geographic diversification and expansion in the midscale segment, complementing Fusion’s more upmarket wellness and lifestyle positioning.

Ayola and Odua, two brands well established in Indonesia’s hospitality landscape

Topotels Hotels & Resorts operates the seven hotels under the Ayola and Odua banners across several key Indonesian cities, catering to both business and leisure travellers seeking comfortable stays at controlled price points. Both brands have grown steadily within the Topotels portfolio, with a presence in regional hubs such as Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya.

Ayola and Odua will retain their existing brand identities following the integration. The properties will therefore continue operating under their current names, while benefiting from Fusion’s regional expertise, commercial platforms and operational support.

Brand continuity and operational support for Topotels

Willy Suderes, Chief Operating Officer of Topotels Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership opened a new chapter for the company. He noted that integration within Fusion would help improve the guest experience and strengthen support for owners, while bringing fresh momentum to the group’s teams and properties.

Guests at Ayola and Odua hotels are expected to benefit from greater service consistency as well as stronger distribution, thanks to access to Fusion’s growing network across Vietnam, Thailand and now Indonesia.

Indonesia, a priority market for regional growth

Christopher Hur, Chief Executive Officer of Fusion Hotel Group, welcomed Topotels’ arrival within the group, highlighting the Indonesian operator’s strong local roots and the complementary nature of its expertise alongside Fusion’s own. He said the partnership opened up new opportunities in key destinations across the country and supported the group’s long-term development vision for Southeast Asia.

Indonesia ranks among the region’s most dynamic hotel markets, driven by sustained tourism and business demand. Several international groups have recently strengthened their pipelines there, including Hyatt, whose room signings grew by 46% in the country in 2025. This momentum reinforces the strategic rationale behind Fusion’s entry into the market through the Topotels integration.

The deal illustrates Fusion Hotel Group’s long-term strategy: expanding its brand portfolio and strengthening its presence in key Southeast Asian destinations through targeted partnerships and structured development.

United States | Goldman Sachs commits €351M to physical real estate with LCN Capital Partners acquisition

The Goldman Sachs Group announced on 18 August 2026 the acquisition of LCN Capital Partners, a platform specialising in sale & leaseback transactions, for a consideration of up to €351M ($410M). The deal gives Goldman Sachs Asset Management a specific area of expertise - the resale of corporate real estate while preserving its use through a long-term lease - after two years marked by high interest rates that curbed investment in physical real estate. For the hospitality sector, the acquisition is also a reminder that LCN held exclusive talks in 2025 to buy nine Silken hotels in Spain, before ultimately being outbid by Hotusa.
