A landmark season for the park’s 40th anniversary
Futuroscope, the leisure park and holiday centre located in the Vienne department, is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027. To mark the occasion, the operator has announced a refreshed programme built around new entertainment, an all-new night-time show and cultural events running throughout the year.
Rodolphe Bouin, Chairman of the Management Board of Futuroscope, said the new programme continues the momentum built up in recent years to turn Futuroscope into a genuine stay destination, one where visitors come as much for new experiences as to share moments with family and friends. With two parks and a full range of leisure activities, shows and accommodation now in place, he added, Futuroscope Xperiences is continuing its development by making innovation and emotion the hallmarks of its identity.
“Nuits Magiques”: an all-new night-time parade
From Saturday 5 December, Futuroscope will offer, for the first time in its history, a night-time light parade called “Nuits Magiques”. Created in collaboration with Agence Tetro, this daily procession will bring together five floats and 23 performers along a one-kilometre route, combining art, stage design and lighting technology.
The show will run every evening from 5 December 2026 to 27 March 2027.
Immersive cinema, shows and new features throughout the year
The season launch, scheduled for 6 February 2027, will be accompanied by the screening at the Kinemax of the IMAX film “Athos”, dedicated to the Patrouille de France aerobatics team, along with a new soundtrack for the “Danse avec les robots” attraction. In April, the park will unveil a new grand-illusion show, “Imagine, Live Show”, staged by Arthur Jugnot and Bertran Lotth.
In spring and summer, the Kinemax and Omnimax will host a “festival of great films”, bringing together iconic titles from the park’s history such as “Les Ailes du courage”, “Grand Canyon” and “Van Gogh”, alongside restored and remastered productions including “Everest”, “Blue Whales” and “Flight of the Butterflies”, screened using a new laser dome. In July and August, Futuroscope will give carte blanche to students from the ESMA film school, whose short films will be shown under professional conditions.
The park will also host a year-round outdoor exhibition produced in partnership with the Institut national de l’audiovisuel, tracing 40 years of technological innovation, alongside a retro set design inspired by 1987 and an anniversary-themed dining offer.
A fourth themed hotel dedicated to science fiction
Futuroscope is also strengthening its accommodation offering with a new 4-star hotel currently under construction, which will join the park’s existing themed properties, including the Hôtel Station Cosmos, which opened in 2022.
Built around a science-fiction theme, the property will feature 45 rooms as well as premium and VIP suites. It will include a 400-seat restaurant, a 250-seat bar and a spa reserved for hotel guests. A seminar area will be able to host up to 350 people, with a 200-seat amphitheatre and eight breakout rooms. A pedestrian walkway will directly connect the new hotel to Aquascope, the site’s water park.
Olivier Héral, Head of Creation at Futuroscope, described it as a spectacular, immersive hotel designed as a world of its own, where architecture, set design and service come together to tell a genuine story.
Against the backdrop of the “Vision 2025” plan
This latest step continues the €304 million “Vision 2025” investment plan, backed by Banque des Territoires, SEM Patrimoniale de la Vienne and Compagnie des Alpes, amid a broader resurgence of investment in leisure parks. The programme has already delivered the Aquascope water park, new attractions including the Objectif Mars roller coaster, Chasseurs de Tornades and Mission Bermudes, the opening of two themed hotels — Station Cosmos and Ecolodge — and an experiential restaurant, Space Loop.
With this fourth hotel and a refreshed programme for its 40th anniversary, Futuroscope is reaffirming its strategy of diversifying revenue across accommodation, catering and event spaces, in a leisure park market marked by continued growth in hotel investment.
