Rosewood AMAALA opened its doors on 18 August 2026 in Triple Bay, Saudi Arabia’s new wellness destination, at the point where the Tabuk mountains meet the world’s fourth-largest coral reef system. The resort marks the brand’s arrival on a stretch of coastline that had remained largely unexplored until now, and is today open to international travellers.
Designed by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for the architecture and by Tristan Auer for the interiors, the property spans 40 hectares and comprises 110 pool villas, an Asaya wellness space and eight restaurants and lounges dedicated to Saudi flavours and traditions. Tristan Auer previously designed Rosewood Courchevel, which opened in December 2025.

“The opening of Rosewood AMAALA marks an important milestone for Rosewood, as we introduce our first resort in Saudi Arabia. As we continue our development in some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, we remain committed to creating experiences that celebrate the identity of each place while fostering authentic connections with local communities and culture,” says Luca Finardi, Vice President, Operations, EMEA for the group.
A development structured around the Red Sea
At Rosewood AMAALA, the Red Sea sets the pace of every day: from sunrise yoga sessions to guided Asaya treatments, through to Sukūn Hour, the property’s own shared end-of-day pause. “Everything here begins with the Red Sea. It sets the rhythm of the day, shapes our wellness rituals, inspires our cuisine and the way we welcome guests,” explains Gerald Chevasson, Managing Director of Rosewood AMAALA.
All units, spread across the estate’s 40 hectares, look out over the Red Sea and each feature a private pool, a beachfront terrace and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor space. The Pavilions, positioned along the northern reef, are designed for families, while the Suites offer a more intimate setting for couples. From the one-bedroom villas upwards, accommodations include a full kitchen, an outdoor barbecue area and a dedicated butler service, with a private chef available on request.
The Family Villas feature multiple terraces and pools, while the Royal Villas offer landscaped courtyards and enhanced privacy. Within Asaya, three exclusive Lodges each include a private garden and treatment room, designed for immersive wellness stays of five nights or more. Two placement formats are on offer: Sea View, with views of the Red Sea from within the estate, and Sea Front, directly on the waterfront.
Asaya: a wellness signature rooted in local tradition
Asaya is conceived as an artist’s studio at Rosewood AMAALA, where treatments draw on Saudi healing traditions and the restorative rhythm of the coastline. Guests can learn Sadu weaving, calligraphy or the power of sound, with the act of creation itself forming part of the treatment.
Spanning 2,100 sqm, Asaya includes six treatment rooms and a double suite, a private hammam, and separate wet areas for men and women with sauna, steam hammam and sensory showers. Two fitness centres equipped with Technogym Artis, including one reserved for women, complete the offering, alongside studios dedicated to yoga and movement. Social House, a private spa within Asaya, can be booked for the day by a single group.
Eight dining addresses shaped by a sense of place
Dining at Rosewood AMAALA draws on Saudi culinary traditions and the influences carried along this coastline through centuries of exchange. Olea takes inspiration from the coastal cultures of Italy, Spain and Greece, its distinct cuisines united by olive oil; a six-metre olive tree marks its entrance in tribute to the historic trade routes between the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. Saha brings guests together around progressive Middle Eastern cuisine served for sharing, within a set of pavilions arranged like a village gathering place.
The Grill Bar & Restaurant cooks over wood and charcoal before transforming into an evening lounge, while Puro Cove Club anchors the waterfront with ceviches and crudos. Wadi Library forms the resort’s cultural heart, its shelves devoted to local literature. The Pool Lounge offers all-day dining beside the estate’s largest pool, with Pool Bar as its more intimate counterpart, and Asaya Lounge extends the wellness thread with conscious cuisine and botanical drinks.
Signature rituals and sustainability commitment
Sukūn, the Arabic word for stillness, opens each day with Sukūn Hour for all guests, held in a different setting depending on the day: Saudi coffee served at Wadi Library, guided breathing beneath the observatory’s glow at Saha, or an intention ritual beneath Olea’s olive tree. At the Arabian Apothecary, guests work with local herbs and the region’s healing traditions to create their own botanical remedies. Younger guests have their own world with Rosewood Explorers, a dedicated club and pool offering a daily programme for four-to-twelve-year-olds.
AMAALA forms part of a vision for regenerative tourism supported by more than 406,000 solar panels and one of the world’s largest battery storage systems, powering the destination with renewable energy day and night. Transport across the destination is exclusively by electric vehicle. At Rosewood AMAALA, pools are sanitised without chemicals, and rock pools connected to the sea allow guests close contact with the reef while limiting impact on the natural environment.
Offshore, Red Sea Global has recorded the largest coral colony ever documented in the Red Sea, within a marine environment ranked among the richest in the world. Coral conservation is coordinated through Corallium, the destination’s marine life institute, which combines research, preservation and public education. This opening adds to an already dense Saudi pipeline for Red Sea Global, alongside the Nammos Resort AMAALA, the forthcoming Ritz-Carlton AMAALA and the ADRENA activity hub.
