Sunday Hotels announces the integration of 24 hotels and resorts in Germany, previously operated under the Accor, Wyndham and H+ brands. The group thereby grows its German portfolio from 11 to 35 properties, as part of its European development strategy and its partnership with Aroundtown.

Under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and in the presence of Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy, Marriott International has officially signed agreements with Misr Italia Properties and People & Places. In total, 1,839 rooms and branded residences are involved, for a combined investment of EGP 33 billion.

Langham Hospitality Group announces the appointment of Nils-Arne Schroeder as Chief Operating Officer. Based at the group's headquarters in Hong Kong, he will lead operations across the entire global portfolio, comprising more than 30 hotels and residences in operation, while overseeing the opening and integration of more than 20 properties under development.

A bill tabled on 7 July 2026 in the National Assembly by MP Arthur Delaporte could, if passed, profoundly transform the way hotel groups organise their use of subcontracting, particularly for room cleaning, security and technical maintenance. The text, numbered 3042, seeks to hold principal contractors accountable towards their subcontractors, employees and local areas.

One Investment Management (OneIM), AENDRE Group and LHC Group have acquired a three-property Central London hotel portfolio from Dutch pension investor APG for £375 million. Financing for the acquisition was provided by Cheyne Capital.

According to information obtained by Jornal Económico from sources close to the matter, Portuguese property group BF Grupo is reportedly preparing to develop a luxury hotel on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon, to be operated by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. A contract between BF Grupo and the brand is said to already exist, though this could not be confirmed at this stage.

A joint venture formed by Mast Capital, the Florida-based real estate development and investment firm, and Koch Real Estate Investments has acquired The Islands of Islamorada resort in the Florida Keys from the Frisbie Group. Scott Wadler of Berkadia Miami arranged financing for the acquisition through lender Ardent Real Estate. The sale price and the name of the future management company were not disclosed, with CoralTree Hospitality — which had managed the property for two years — no longer part of its portfolio.
