Helga Deboeck most recently held the position of General Manager at Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection, in Greece. She had previously launched Casa Cook Samos as a leading premium lifestyle destination, contributing to the Best Hotel Design accolade awarded at the 196+ Forum in Milan. She also took part in developing Marriott International’s Luxury Pre-Opening Countdown Process, since incorporated into the group’s Luxury Academy training framework.
Her career includes leading strategic pre-opening and brand transition projects across the Middle East and Africa for globally recognised five-star names, including Ritz-Carlton, W Hotels, St. Regis and The Luxury Collection. Before joining Minor Hotels Africa, she held senior positions at the Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa and the Sheraton Grand Conakry.
During her time at Marriott International in the United Arab Emirates, she served as Director of New Builds and Transitions, overseeing high-end pre-opening projects across the Middle East and Africa region. The group highlights her ability to combine operational rigour with brand-led guest experience strategies, delivering consistent commercial and reputational results, in line with other recent general manager appointments within Minor Hotels’ Anantara portfolio in the Indian Ocean.
A Belgian national, Helga Deboeck is fluent in English, French and Dutch. She holds qualifications in business management as well as modern languages and mathematics, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification in operational innovation. She also studied photography and visual arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Ghent College, a multidisciplinary background she brings to her approach to hotel management.
