Sunday Hotels has announced the addition of 24 new hotels and resorts in Germany. The brand, which already operated 11 properties in the country, thereby grows its German portfolio to 35 addresses. This development strengthens Sunday Hotels’ presence in one of Europe’s largest hotel markets, while broadening its offering for business and leisure guests.
The 24 hotels, previously operated under the Accor, Wyndham and H+ brands, now join the Sunday Hotels portfolio. They are spread across several key cities and regional destinations in the country, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Leipzig, Nuremberg, Hannover, Bonn, Augsburg and Wiesbaden. The properties will operate under management agreements and are already available to book on Sunday Hotels’ websites and apps, as well as on major online travel agencies.
“Germany is a cornerstone of our European development strategy. Our approach has always been to build a high-quality portfolio,” said Puneet Yadav, SVP & Head of Hotels – Germany & UK at Sunday & Belvilla Hotels. He noted that the group is now applying in Germany the premium operating model already deployed in the UK, with ambitions to continue its growth in a high-potential market.
Michal Michalowski, Cluster GM of Sunday Hotels, explains that the rollout is built on PRISM, the group’s unified operating system, enabling a consistent guest experience while preserving German service standards and each property’s local character.
This development builds on the partnership between Sunday Hotels and Aroundtown, one of Europe’s largest property companies. Under the Sunday Hotels and Belvilla brands, the group now operates nine hotels from Aroundtown’s German portfolio, including the Sunday Hotel Düsseldorf City Nord (190 rooms), the Sunday Hotel Frankfurt Airport Neu-Isenburg (163 rooms), the Sunday Resort Rügen in Sagard (230 rooms) and the Sunday Resort Marina Wolfsbruch in Rheinsberg (207 rooms).
