Egypt | Marriott International signs major agreement with Misr Italia Properties and People & Places

Marriott International has signed major agreements with Egyptian developers Misr Italia Properties and People & Places, under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and in the presence of Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy. The two partnerships together represent 1,839 hotel rooms and branded residences, for a combined investment of EGP 33 billion, across some of the country’s most sought-after destinations.

Misr Italia Properties accounts for the bulk of the agreement, with a portfolio of 1,041 keys representing EGP 11.3 billion in investment. It includes Autograph Collection properties at Solare Ras El Hekma (430 rooms), Garden 8 in New Cairo (100 rooms) and Kai Sokhna on the Red Sea (200 rooms), as well as Westin Hotels & Resorts and Marriott Executive Apartments addresses within the Il Bosco project in the New Administrative Capital (260 rooms).

For its part, People & Places has signed an agreement covering 9 projects and around 1,500 keys across Egypt, including beach resorts, urban hotels and branded residences, spread across several of Marriott’s luxury and premium brands.

This partnership strengthens Marriott’s position in the Egyptian market and aligns with the country’s strategic tourism objectives, driven by continued growth in demand for coastal, urban and New Capital hospitality.
