A First Address in Cheongdam, the Heart of Luxury in Gangnam

On 2 September 2026, Aman, the hospitality and lifestyle brand, announced the launch of Aman Seoul, its first property in South Korea. Located in Cheongdam, one of Seoul’s most prestigious districts, the project benefits from a setting overlooking the Han River, at the heart of Gangnam.

It was conceived in partnership with Shinsegae Property, a global asset management and real estate development company. Designed as a fully integrated destination, Aman Seoul will bring together a hotel, an exclusive collection of branded residences and an Aman Club.

The property has been conceived as a sanctuary above the city, while remaining connected to the energy and culture of contemporary Seoul. This positioning places it within a market already courted by several international names, such as the Josun Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, or, more recently, Maison Delano Seoul by Ennismore, both of which are also located in Gangnam.

Seoul, the New Epicentre of Asian Luxury

As South Korea’s international influence continues to grow in fashion, beauty, design, technology and culture, Seoul is establishing itself as one of Asia’s most dynamic metropolises. For its first property in the country, Aman Seoul is aimed at a growing community of residents, members and international travellers seeking absolute privacy, service excellence and transformative experiences.

Cheongdam, regarded as the epicentre of the city’s luxury and cultural landscape, is set to establish a new benchmark for upscale urban living in South Korea.

A Design Rooted in Korean Craftsmanship

Much like Seoul itself, a city where heritage and innovation coexist, the architecture and interiors of Aman Seoul have been developed in close collaboration with Korean partners and artisans. The suites and communal spaces draw on local spatial traditions and materials, staying true to the brand’s ethos of harmonious, minimalist design.

Distinct arrival and departure routes give the hotel, the residences and the Aman Club their own sense of privacy and identity.

Wellness, Dining and Branded Residences

The project places wellness at its centre, with dedicated spa spaces spread across several levels, complemented by an international dining offering that includes the brand’s signature restaurant concepts. The exclusive Aman Club will in turn feature a dedicated pool, fitness facilities and social spaces reserved for residence owners and members.

The residences form an essential component of the project, extending the Aman way of life into a permanent home. This vision is completed by Aman Interiors, the brand’s bespoke furniture line, which translates its aesthetic language into the domestic space.

A Strategic Partnership with Shinsegae Property

Aman Seoul combines Shinsegae Property’s deep knowledge of the Korean market with Aman‘s globally recognised expertise in hospitality and branded residences. The stated ambition is to redefine the concept and standards of ultra-luxury residence in South Korea.

Chung Yong-jin, Chairman of Shinsegae Group, said that Aman Seoul represented far more than a hotel project and that it would set a new benchmark for luxury residence in Seoul, adding that the group intended to continue designing innovative spaces capable of transforming and inspiring the way people live.

Vlad Doronin and Aman‘s Urban Strategy

According to Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, few cities have evolved as quickly and with as much confidence as Seoul, now positioned at the crossroads of culture, design, technology and wellness. He noted that Aman Seoul reflected the group’s confidence in the city’s future and its intention to create a permanent home there for the brand, bringing together a hotel, residences and an Aman Club at the heart of Gangnam.

The announcement follows the strategic partnership concluded between Shinsegae Group and OKO Group, the American real estate development company founded and led by Vlad Doronin, which has supported the international growth of the Aman brand for several years, as recently illustrated by its partnership with Diriyah Company in Saudi Arabia.

A Growing Urban Collection

Aman Seoul adds to a growing collection of urban destinations that carry the brand’s philosophy into some of the world’s most influential cities, following Aman Tokyo, Aman New York and Aman Nai Lert Bangkok. The project forms part of a pipeline of upcoming developments that includes Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach, Aman Dubai and Aman Singapore.

This urban development follows several major financial moves for the brand, including a $360 million investment led by Emirati investors, as well as the launch of Aman Maldives in the Indian Ocean, confirming the group’s continued geographic diversification.
