Jean-Charles Haenggi took up the role of General Manager of Château de Sacy in September 2026, a five-star property nestled among the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims. He will work alongside Muriel Secondé-Naivin, who retains the role of Maître de Maison she already held at the helm of the property.

This dual leadership structure comes six months after the takeover of Château de Sacy by the Michel Reybier Group, announced in late March 2026. The property, acquired from the Millésime group while it was under receivership, comprises around a dozen rooms, a restaurant and a wellness area.

A career forged in Swiss mountain hospitality

Jean-Charles Haenggi arrives from Zermatt, where he had served as Hotel Manager of the Mont Cervin Palace since June 2025, having previously held the roles of Director of Rooms and Room Division Manager there from July 2023 — just over three years at the property. His Swiss career also took in the Grand Hôtel du Lac in Vevey, LeCrans Hôtel & Spa in Crans-Montana, and the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, where he began as a chef de rang before moving into reception and then Front Office supervision.

In France, he held the position of Director of Rooms at the Grand Monarque Hôtel & Spa in Chartres between January and June 2023.

Five years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts

The new General Manager of Château de Sacy spent close to five years with the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts group. He notably served as Guest Services Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, before moving to Megève and then Los Cabos in Mexico, where he led the Front Office through the property’s opening.

This period with Four Seasons properties, spanning Paris, the French Alps and the Mexican Pacific coast, rounded out experience gained across several independent palace hotels and Swiss hospitality groups.

Continuity within the Michel Reybier ecosystem

Analysis – The Mont Cervin Palace, where Jean-Charles Haenggi led rooms division and then operations in Zermatt, forms part of the Swiss portfolio of the Michel Reybier Group. His appointment at Château de Sacy therefore reflects a pattern of talent moving within a group that has built its hospitality philosophy around exceptional properties rooted in their local terroir — from Ramatuelle to Zermatt, and now Champagne as well.

A graduate of the Lycée hôtelier J. Storck in Alsace, where he earned a technological Baccalauréat in Hospitality and Catering followed by a BTS in Hospitality Marketing and Management, Jean-Charles Haenggi began his career as a chef de rang before specialising in rooms management. His appointment is intended to support Château de Sacy’s upmarket repositioning and the development of its offering around accommodation, champagne, gastronomy and wellness.
