RWS Global announces the appointment of Matt Conover as Divisional President, Global Production. He will be responsible for production strategy, planning and execution across the group, working closely with creative, business and operational teams on all projects.

Matt Conover brings more than 37 years of experience at The Walt Disney Company, including more than 25 years as an executive producer of live entertainment on a global scale. He most recently held the position of Vice President of the Disneyland Resort, having previously served as Vice President / Project Design and Delivery Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he oversaw the design and production of shows, parades and events across the group’s theme parks and cruise ships worldwide, leading a team of more than 200 professionals.

Previously Vice President, Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, he led production on major projects across eleven theme parks, four ships and 33 resorts, as well as overseeing talent casting, music development and artistic design. He notably served as executive producer for large-scale events such as the Disney Fantasy christening, the openings of Aulani and Cars Land, and the grand opening of Shanghai Disney Resort.

Matt Conover began his career at Disney Cruise Line and then Walt Disney World Entertainment, where he held production and general management roles. He also chairs the Board of Trustees of the Educational Theatre Foundation, a position he has held since 2018, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in technical theatre from SUNY Purchase College.
