Ennismore and Central Group Capital, the fund management arm of Thai conglomerate Central Group, have announced the signing of Rixos Water World Phuket. The deal marks the Thailand debut of Rixos, the brand that pioneered the luxury all-inclusive concept.

The property, currently operated by Ennismore, will reopen under the Rixos Water World Phuket name in early 2028, following a complete renovation. It will join the group’s network alongside Rixos Murjana, which opened in early 2026 in Saudi Arabia, and Rixos Phu Quoc Vietnam, due to open by the end of 2026.

A strategic foothold in Phuket

The group presents the signing as a significant step in the growth of the Rixos brand across Asia, with Phuket offering, according to Ennismore, fertile ground for the brand’s all-inclusive experience model. The island remains one of the region’s most well-established international leisure destinations, combining global appeal with cultural, coastal and culinary diversity.

The resort is situated on the shores of Mai Khao, in the Thalang district, close to Patong Beach, Bang Tao Beach and the historic centre of Old Phuket Town. Ennismore places the project within Rixos’s Turkish heritage, with a philosophy combining luxury, energy and a family-oriented positioning.

A resort geared towards entertainment and MICE

Rixos Water World Phuket will feature more than 600 rooms and villas, five distinct restaurants and bars, and an integrated waterpark. The complex is presented as one of the island’s largest and most vibrant hospitality addresses.

The waterpark is set to be an attraction in its own right, complemented by pools, seafront leisure areas, sports and wellness programming, and a daily line-up of shows and live music. The property will also offer one of Phuket’s largest banqueting and MICE capacities, aimed at corporate events and conferences.

An expanded dining and family offering

The culinary programme is designed to reflect Rixos’s signature multi-dining philosophy, combining all-inclusive dining with à la carte restaurants and beachfront venues. Thai, Asian, Italian and Latin American cuisines will be represented, alongside a snack service and a range of bars and lounges.

The resort will also feature separate kids’ and teens’ clubs, as well as a sports area including an indoor gym, a group activities zone and several outdoor courts. The spa, drawing on the brand’s Turkish heritage, rounds out the wellness offering for adults.

Soravit Chairoj, Managing Partner and Co-Head of Central Group Capital, said for his part that Phuket remains one of Asia’s most promising tourism and hospitality markets over the long term, and that Rixos Water World Phuket is set to introduce a differentiated all-inclusive concept to Thailand, broadening the island’s appeal to families and international travellers seeking experience-led stays.

This signing forms part of Ennismore’s rising momentum, having recently passed the 200-hotel mark globally. The group now claims a network of more than 70 all-inclusive resorts open or in development, representing over 30,000 rooms, with a pipeline that includes six new resorts in Mexico marking Rixos’s debut on the American continent, as well as projects in Egypt and Dubai.

Rixos Water World Phuket will also join the ALL Inclusive Collection, Ennismore’s digital platform bringing together its all-inclusive brands – Rixos, SO/, Hyde, SLS and Swissôtel – around an offering combining thoughtful design, dining and high-level entertainment.
