An appointment that reshapes the group’s aviation governance

Luxaviation Group has appointed Sabine von der Linden to the role of Chief Aviation Officer, a newly created position she has held since September 2026. Based in Luxembourg, the group’s headquarters, the appointment is intended to bring operational functions, training and safety standards closer together within a structure operating across several regions of the world.

The group, one of the world’s leading business aviation operators, draws on several regional entities, including ExecuJet Aviation Group. The appointment forms part of a broader trend of governance restructuring in aviation, echoing the recent appointment of Laurent Perrier as chief executive of Groupe Dubreuil Aéro Services.

A career built on operational experience

Sabine von der Linden has held several roles within Luxaviation Group since 2023: Captain on the Global 6500/7500, Line Training & Line Check Captain, Group Standards Officer since October 2024, and simulator instructor on the BD700 and Global 7500 since March 2026. This accumulation of responsibilities preceded her appointment as Chief Aviation Officer.

Before joining Luxaviation Group, she served as Captain on the Global 7500 for ExecuJet Aviation Group in Dubai, between April 2024 and March 2026. Her career also includes work as a freelance pilot internationally, as well as responsibilities at Hans Jet in Austria, where she held the roles of Fleet Chief Pilot and Project Manager on the PC-12.

Her career was built on private VVIP and charter operations conducted worldwide between 2019 and 2022, including assignments across Europe, the Americas and the Middle East. She also worked with Air Corviglia in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Recognition within the Bombardier ecosystem

Sabine von der Linden is among the first five women in the world to be qualified as Captain on the Bombardier Global 7500. She is also a Bombardier Global instructor and examiner, a role that places her at the heart of the training standards applied to this aircraft range.

She holds an ATPL issued by the GCAA, along with FE(A) and CRE(A) qualifications. Her Class 1 medical certificate is recognised by EASA, the GCAA, the FAA and the UK CAA, allowing her to operate across several international aviation jurisdictions.

A signal for the VVIP and luxury hospitality ecosystem

Business aviation maintains close ties with luxury hospitality and tourism, particularly through VVIP operations and the transport of a demanding international clientele. Governance moves within groups such as Luxaviation are watched closely by hospitality players, as they reflect a growing emphasis on standardisation and safety requirements in this segment.

The appointment also echoes other recent moves in high-end private aviation, such as the one at RoyalJet, an operator affiliated with the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
