MMV, a major player in tourist accommodation and the second-largest operator in the French Alps behind Club Med, has announced the appointment of Serge Foulon as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Fabienne Carrasco, who had held the role since April 2025, and joins the Distribution & Hospitality Division of Compagnie des Alpes, MMV’s parent company, under the leadership of Paul-Antoine Mauraisin.

MMV joined the Compagnie des Alpes group in 2022, as part of a deal that The Hospitality Tribune’s sister publication covered in detail at the time. This appointment forms part of the group’s roadmap, which aims to strengthen its accommodation offering and the year-round appeal of its mountain destinations.

An international career built at NH Hotel Group and Minor Hotels

Serge Foulon brings more than 25 years of multi-site hotel leadership experience across Europe and Africa. He began his career as Front Office Manager and then Assistant General Manager in Geneva, before taking on general management roles at several NH Hotel Group properties: NH Atlanta Brussels, NH Atlanta Rotterdam, and then NH The Lord Charles and NH Plettenberg Bay in the Cape region of South Africa, where he spent seven years. He went on to lead NH Lyon Airport and oversaw the opening of NH Toulouse Airport.

Since January 2018, he had held the position of Director of Operations for France at Minor Hotels, where he oversaw a portfolio of nine hotels across four brands (NH, NH Collection, Nhow and Anantara) and around 1,000 employees. During his tenure, he led seven hotel openings, structured the group’s pre-opening and recruitment processes, and contributed to the launch and market positioning of the luxury Anantara brand in France. He also strengthened central functions and performance frameworks in revenue management, procurement, finance and human resources.

Serge Foulon also completed Cornell University’s General Managers Program in the first half of 2026, in addition to a master’s degree in hotel management earned in Belgium.

Upscaling and digitalisation on the agenda

In his new role, Serge Foulon will steer MMV’s next phase of growth. Writing on LinkedIn, he described joining a leading player in mountain holidays and the second-largest accommodation provider in the French Alps, whose offering combines lodging, catering, activities and services under the brand signature “L’Expérience Clubs aux Sommets”. He said he was delighted to help write the next chapters of the brand’s development alongside MMV’s teams, and thanked Compagnie des Alpes for its confidence in him.

For its part, Compagnie des Alpes presented Serge Foulon’s arrival as an asset for strengthening MMV’s positioning as a leading mountain operator, noting that his expertise and performance-driven culture would support this new phase of development.

A group consolidating its position in the Alps

MMV operates a portfolio of club residences and holiday villages in some of the most sought-after destinations in the French Alps, offering accommodation, catering, activities and services geared in particular towards families. The group is part of Compagnie des Alpes’ Distribution & Hospitality Division, alongside entities such as Travelfactory, Mountain Collection Immobilier and Groupe Terrésens.

Compagnie des Alpes, a major player in the European leisure industry for more than 35 years, employs 7,400 people and operates 10 major ski areas as well as 12 leisure parks. Its activities also extend to outdoor leisure, five-a-side football, padel and tourism, and it runs the leading network of real estate agencies in the Alps and France’s leading mountain-specialist tour operator.
