Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the signing of the London Bridge Hotel, which will become a Tapestry Collection by Hilton property under a franchise agreement concluded with Gama Holdings. The deal marks the arrival of the group’s lifestyle brand in the British capital and represents the ninth Hilton brand present in London.
Located at 8–18 London Bridge Street, immediately adjacent to London Bridge station, the 153-room property is within walking distance of several of the capital’s landmark sites, including The Shard, Borough Market, Tower Bridge and the South Bank cultural district. Opening is planned for early 2028, following a transformation representing an investment of more than €14 million.
A Reimagined Offering in the Heart of London
The hotel will feature 153 rooms, including distinctive “garden vault” rooms, designed to appeal to a mixed clientele of business travellers and leisure visitors exploring the capital. The property’s positioning will draw on strong corporate and tourist demand already identified in this part of London.
The ground floor will undergo a complete redesign, with several premium dining spaces entrusted to Individual Restaurants, a well-established hospitality partner.
Tapestry Collection Continues Its UK Expansion
Tapestry Collection by Hilton brings together a portfolio of independent hotels, each with its own distinct identity rooted in its location. The brand emphasises authentic experiences, locally inspired interior design and dining offerings drawn from the destination.
This London signing continues the brand’s momentum in the UK and Ireland, following recent signings announced in Plymouth and Cork, both expected in 2027. These projects add to four properties already in operation: The Samuel Ryder Hotel St Albans, Elmbank York, The Marcus Portrush and Dover Marina Hotel & Spa. Tapestry Collection made its French debut with the opening of the Hôtel Camille at Paris Gare de Lyon [FLAG: internal LTH link, no confirmed THT English equivalent found], before continuing its expansion across several continents, including three recent signings in sub-Saharan Africa [FLAG: internal LTH link, no confirmed THT English equivalent found].

Christian Charnaux, Executive Vice President and Head of Development at Hilton, said that London and the wider UK and Ireland region continue to present considerable growth opportunities, and that this signing once again demonstrates the group’s ability to create value for owners while strengthening its network effect worldwide. He added that, through the partnership with Gama Holdings, Hilton is delighted to introduce Tapestry Collection to the city, reinforcing its lifestyle portfolio in one of the world’s most important tourist destinations. He noted that the signing builds on the strong momentum seen across the group’s brand portfolio in the region and reflects continued demand from owners for the scale, commercial drivers and leading performance that Hilton delivers. The Owner’s Perspective

He said Hilton was the ideal partner to realise their vision for the hotel’s future, and that they were delighted to introduce Tapestry Collection to London. He added that the partnership combines the hotel’s character and heritage with the strength of one of the world’s largest hospitality groups, and that he was confident it would be something to be proud of for many years to come.
